Using mouse to play is still very wonky

Ive been having severe trouble with my mouse (razer death adder) recognizing which way i want to attack and defend from. More than half the time my side blocks arent recognized by the game or theyre changed to a top block. Ive found my self having to greatly exaggerate moving my mouse left or right to block or attack in the direction i want. I feel like the zones for the left and right areas need to be increased or the area for the top zone needs to be decreased.

I haven't gotten to play yet, but that is worrying.

Did you notice if there was any way to walk while using mouse and keyboard, or is there no bind option for that?

What do you mean by walk? as in not lock on to an enemy character? or move around while facing any enemy?

When there's no lock, since you walk automatically while locked on.

I've had no issues playing with mouse in the open Alpha. All I have to say is make sure you fully understand what each option is in the controls menu, and to disable or optimize any functions that could affect your mouse input.

While the mouse definitely has the problem of sometimes wandering off your mouse pad (especially in prolonged 1vMany fights), I can say that after multiple tests I am super comfortable using the mouse to guard and attack.

During my first test I definitely felt like the mouse was not a good fit for the stance system, prolonged playtime across several tests has changed my mind.

I've had great success with a trackball mouse. I used a Logitech M570. Had to change some sensitivity settings, but it felt great afterwards.
