Most of the time i save only 1 from each setpieces (so 6 pieces from every set) and tend to look at the main armor on it and if it has EAD/Kill Exp/ARM rolled on it or combination of those, and with the holsters i tend to keep only the ones with high stats on it and not just 1 but at least 2 with Armor rolled on it or 3 without armor rolled on it.

I found a spreadsheet online with all items and stats in it and use it alot: Link

I have a few to choose from all with good to cracking talents

    My DMR/Bolt action list is

    Surplus SVD = Brutal/Vicious/Disciplined

    M700 Carbon = Toxic/Accurate/Prepared

    2 x M44 Hunting
    1 with Balanced/Capable/Ferocious
    1 with Determined/Destructive/Deadly

SOCOM M1A = Brutal/Proficient/Skilled (but might recal skilled.)

they are all great but Bolts are the best for OHK headshots.

in my opinion there are only 4 real MMR`s in the game the rest are either just hunting rifles or DMR`s, so if players ask me what is the best MMR it must be either the SRS A1, Covert SRS, M700 Carbon or the Custom M44, the rest are not even a MMR in my opinion (or they are at least just different versions of the M700 Carbon or Custom M44)

Surplus SVD = Brutal/Vicious/Disciplined = Mehh, its a SVD and besides this it has Vicious on it and you dont need any CHC but you need CHD with Decisive

M700 Carbon = Toxic/Accurate/Prepared = also Mehh, Accurate on a MMR is useless, toxic and prepared are oke

2 x M44 Hunting .... oke let me stop you here, always take only an MMR that has every slot available, unless you find one with high HSD, DMG per Shot (dont mean the DPS but the DMG seen on the rifle itself next to the RPM) and god talents just leave these

SOCOM M1A = Brutal/Proficient/Skilled = not good at all, reroll Proficient AND Skilled and try to reroll the SOCOM M1A part of this gun also ...

if you want to snipe in this game go for a Bolt Action rifle and best ones are the SRS A1, Covert SRS, M700 Carbon and Custom M44.

and my favorite is always the Custom M44, just because i choose the range above the clipsize.

Bolt action all day and with the right set up you can one shot the 7 colours of the rainbow out of a Unicorn's hair. Semi auto doesn't feel right like a sniper set up should do. My favourite set ups are 4 piece deadeye, with savage gloves (4 piece deadeye 100% crit hit when zoomed in is just awesome) with Carbine M44 or Hunting M44 I also like the D3 four piece with shield and SMG. Lot of fun with that if you can roll your electronics nicely.

I get what you are saying but I find the SVD and the M700 carbon to be beasts.

My SVD will do 300,000 upto 450,000 per headshot my M700 does anywhere from 500,000 upto 600,000 per headshot I csn do purples and yellows in one shot and elite named in almost one shot.

but I'll look for the others to see how they are,

What ever happen to have a weapon and it's ammo size do the talking instead of a spreadsheet of how to load out your gear set, roll for weapon attributes and so forth.

I'm a bolt guy. The whole point of sniping is to get in those "sure shots". To wait for someone to expose themselves and then make the moment count. There's also something VERY satisfying about waiting for an enemy sniper to pop up, think I'll get an easy kill, have them flee away from cover to my left and then line up my shot and calmly and efficiently get them in one hit. If I had rushed that shot I would have likely missed. Yet it's like time slowed down even though I know it happened very quickly. Later on I got another "moving kill" with another guy.

Getting in those "sure shots" when your prey is on the move... That's when I fell in love with bolts. Good for getting "easy kills" when just a bit of them is peeking out too. DPS counts for nothing when it's over in 1-2 shots. Want DPS? If I want DPS then I use an AR or SMG. And switch to those or my shotgun for when I think I'm going to have enemies in my face. I leave out LMG when I use snipers. More of a "pinning tool" and a sniper means not having to pin to begin with. LMG could help another sniper though.

That I fully understand. It's the "Gear Set-up" that I have no understanding at all.
