    Bolt Action or Simi Auto

I have heard and read a lot about the "Marksman Rifles" in this game. I believe you get a bigger DPS out of the Simi Auto, but more stopping and dropping power out of the Bolt action rifle. What say yee?

Bolt Action for the win. M700 is the bomb.. Use the firing range and do a few head shots with each type, and see what brings the higher number. I had a semi auto sniper that said 465k dps, and an M700 that showed 130k dps. very misleading IMO. The M700 would headshot for 390K vs like 110k of so for the marksman rifle rated at 465k.. If you want to single shot bolt action is key and stack evey mod with head shot damage.

They should really change this to something that is more clear. On the face of it, the Scar-H automatic marksman rifles look a better bet than the M700 or the SVD. But you will do more damage with the Single shot unless you are very good at aimingheadshots on moving targets with the SCAR. Your chances or hitting 4 or even 5 headshots on the bounce with the SCAR-H to do the same Damage as the single head shot of the L700 are slim so effectively, you aren't physically able to do the same damage consistently with the Auto Marksmen as the Single Shots.

    Here you go....

For PVE Semi automatic rifles are better (Scar H is the king of DPS of any weapon in any catagory...there isnt even a close second.)

For PVP Bolt Action rifles are better but it has to be a one shot build that stacks heavily in headshot damage. If it isnt the SVD is the best choice becuase of its small reticle.

The reason Semi automatic weapons are better for PVE is becuase its alot easier getting headshots on NPCs so it becomes a time and magazine fight. You can clear out a room of NPCs alot faster with a Scar H than an M700.

I used to think the same way about PVE on the Simi Auto until it came to a point where I was using the weapon as a regular Simi Auto Rifle. That's when I tossed it for the Bolt Action Rifle. If one shot did not take down the target, the follow up shot always would. I could not get the same effect out of the Simi. I kinda stay out of PVP because there's way too many people in there that turn red coats after you help them take down the opposition.

Bolt-action always IF you are patience, if you are too full of energy and go Leroy on everything then just drop the MMR in general.

The trick with an MMR is to wait a sec and aim before firing and USE THE DAMN SCOPE and not just shouldering and not using the scope and use it only as a glorified AR, the power of a MMR is in the secure and powerfull shots, you dont need to fire lots of them but the ones you do fire needs to count and with my build (gold build) i use Firearms and Stamina as primairy (7k/4k/3k) and can kill any veteran with one headshot and elites for full armor and 3/4 hp from in one good headshot, and because you try to headshot kill everything take the Accomplished kneepads for the triple headshot kill xp (with my build i get around 45-50k exp for 10-12 headshot kills in one battle)

So best real MMR builds use Bolt-action rifles with AR as backup for CC.

    I use a Custom M44 with a Lightweight M4.

Why I choose the Custom M44 above the M700 Carbon is simple for me, M700 has a optimal range of only 42 and M44 has 60, so i go range above ammo cap, with talents try to get brutal/prepaired/Decisive on it and use the VX-1 scope, Extended mag (with CHD and reload), Omega Rifle suppressor (tan or normal one doesnt matter, both are the same) and the Handstop underbarrel, and focus on HSD->Reload->CHD in that order with this setup and your MMR will be very deadly, the only thing now to do is train your aims and i think Madison Field Hospital is great for sniper training

Thank you for the info. I thought the M700 was superior to the M44. Question. I have been looking for the high-end custom M44. Where can I find this weapon??

Thank you for the info. I have been saving all the "Green" gear set because at some point in time I'll start to understand how to utilize that equipment the best. At present, I'm totally lost.
