Well I have trouble figuring out how you can be fast to cut an enney down with any of the assasin classes. The deflect was too powerful yes but now it is too precise to trigger to get the reward. Plus now, the game considers you do not deflect when you dodge in the right direction but there is an obstacle two meters away.Originally Posted by GodzBlaze-Qc Go to original post
You will talk about "skill", I will not answer because I do not want to insult you. The parry is still good because yes it requires to think about it. However, the dogding/deflecting has to be tweaked. It appears too random to me. Add that some of the characters' attacks have a really short window in wich you can "deflect" - yes I'm thinking about the still OP raider -and you end up with an assassin... in a defensive stance. I am not convinced by this mechanic, or at least by the timings. Too many to learn to be efficient ingame. Too many randomness because of the terrain (and for some I am sure, too random because of the lag).
I would not go as far to say Rochi is trash. Rochi has just changed. The deflect mechanic beforehand didn't reward skilled play because anyone could do it. Rochi is made to destroy other assassins we have crazy dmg values and counter play aginst other assassins. The struggle is aginst the other classes. I mean I am known for playing rochi nonstop, and I still played it non-stop. Yah there is a different learning curve to rochi when playing skilled players, but the average player will still find rochi good. Skilled play all comes down to friends and baiting in the end in an average game most players don't even get to this level of complexity. In higher tier play rochi might have issues, but in your basic random matchmaking, a decent rochi can still destroy any class with ease if played right.Originally Posted by Feffelicious Go to original post
Every class has its weaknesses
Agreed. I'd go as far as to say the Orochi is next to the Warden in the balance department. The changes have simply balanced Deflect and fixed Storm Rush abuse (including the broken gear stats). If you were an expert Orochi before, you shouldn't have too much trouble with them now. They are still a very, VERY good hero for 1v1 and their agility still makes them one of the better counter-attackers.Originally Posted by ReReminiscence Go to original post
The only reason I can see players complaining about them now is if they were one of those who relied solely on Deflect and Storm Rush.
Perhaps it's not the character that is trash. Perhaps it is merely you who is trash at playing it.Originally Posted by Feffelicious Go to original post
