I believe that is the Gates of Hell, depiction of Dante's "Inferno" at Cantor Arts Center, Stanford based of a quick google search

XXXI:77 links also to Dante's Inferno.

Someone should find the exact line, I guess.

This one is Nimrod, by whose evil thought <-- 77
One language in the world is not still used.

also toward the bottom of the link is

    77. Nimrod, the "mighty hunter before the Lord", who built the tower of Babel, which, according to the Italian popular tradition, was so high that whoever mounted to the top of it could hear the angels sing.

Nimrod is an album by Green Day, isn't it?

"Time grabs you by the hand" - "Good Riddance (Time of your Life)" is on that album and fits the picture pretty well.

The names of the other songs on the Nimrod album don't sound too familiar to me, so in case we are correct here, I would expect some sort of mixed song pack.

I don't know. With the release of the new patch, I would have thought they would have included some songs to play on acoustic guitar.

Green Day could also fit with the "Christmas sneer" hint.
