I already have the Wild Run. Soo is it true, how all I get with the expansion is the cop cars and chases as cop? This is all for the price of a full game?

And if all I read above is true I dunno... is CAU worth it's price?
I'll tell you what I told the last ten people who asked, I love the game, but it is currently so broken and frustrating for many of the players I wouldn't spend a dime to validate the poor support we are currently getting. Save your money until they fix this hot mess or it dies and you buy something else. As for getting the new cars, other than police cars, I was winning all the new ones in the crate runs before it stopped giving me car parts. That didn't happen until after I had wasted my money on CAU...

Posting just to get clicks for youtube videos is already annoying, but yours aren't even remotely on topic. Could you please try to be a little less completely useless?

Being a cop is frustrating. Especialy the waiting part. You have to wait for the chases... And wait, and wait and wait... As someone already said, quiting the game and getting back in, helps, but not always. Getting invites to the crates you have already completed, is also common. I've yet never achieved to complete all the chases on one day with a cop car... And it gets very boring at times. Once you get to the chase, then the players have been clearly divided - there are those who know, what they are doing and those who have no idea, what they are doing. So some chases are as boring as hell (I've busted people on bronze crates within the first few hundred meters and not just once, but many times in a row - until I got the part a left the poor racer alone ). With good players, the catching up can be a PITA and the AI cops are there to help you and then put you off the road again... It can be managable with certain tricks, but the copchase is the buggiest thing in this game and I will definitely not rate the price to be above 5€. Well, OK, you get the few new cars and that is another 5€. So total = 10€ for CAU only. If you don't have WR, then it is a must and a good purchase.

    CAU Ranting

I agree and I'm very surprised there is not a huge outpouring of postings here in the forum expressing how bad Cop Play is. IMO many players have ceased playing Cop Career and many have stopped playing CAU altogether. I've seen friends and crewed with friends that actively played for a few weeks after release of CAU that have now gone on to other games (like The Division) not to come back. That initial excitement of CAU disappated very, very quickly....imo, due to the chaotic, impeding, and deliberate off tracking programmed into the game. What is it with the AI Cop cars that have unlimited acceleration and rubber-banding?

The way the Cop Career was developed gives player skill a 50% or less chance of effecting the chase given all the programming of AI cops to impede your chase and all the other chaos that is totally inappropriate.

Forget it if the remaining distance is 2 miles or less, there just isn't time given that you are going to spend 1/3 of that time off the road after being hit with EMP Shock that will spin your car around in 2 360s then point you the wrong direction. Seems the only way to avoid this is to come to a complete stop and await return of control, which is the same as just simply waiting for BOT button to reactivate. Then, the scenario goes, you BOT and if there is a 2nd Transporter you get hit again with EMP Shock and there to await again until you can rejoin the chase, by then though the chase is finished.

Even waiting for the Transporter to be on straight-a-way does not keep your BOT from spawning you off the road, wrong side of guard rail on directly in front of traffic be it cop ai or otherwise.
AI Cop cars it seems are deliberately programmed to constantly bump into your Cop Car and are many times swerving across all lanes of the road making it a dicey chance to even get by them while chasing down a Transporter.

I played NFS Rivals for more than 1500 hours and mostly as a cop because, as a fact, it is much more difficult and challenging to chase than to run, and, imo, it is just a blast to chase. So, if you want to improve your overall skills chose Cop Career.

In comparison to Rivals, I miss the weapons used there and the damage to car escalating to zero resulting in the Bust and the Repairing by running through a Gas Station. This being hit by EMP Shock and losing complete control and ending up off road.., the wait for BOT to become active, and then being hit again by EMP Shock when there are 2 transporters coordinating together.....I don't know, the concept seems to be chosen for a lack of inability to come up with a better idea, better brainstorming. If I could I would copy and paste Rivals into CAU and Delete all CAU abilities, etc. There would be a game!!!!

What about the times that using Jammer Ability in Cop mode (even when the Transporter has not activated Guardian) and the Transporter can still use his abilities against you?

Or when using EMP Shock and it has no affect at all on Transporter? Been seeing that happen more frequently lately. Yes, and they are not in Guardian abilty and the aiming sites are activated and Transporter is within 100 yards?

There are just a lot of flaws to this CAU at this time. They say they are addressing many and, crossed finger, hope it gets better. But, so far, Rivals, IMO, has a much better thought out game experience.

I also find that there is a need to restart the game every 30 minutes or so, just a guess, to reactivate the Invitations. Previous to CAU my game almost never crashed, but now it is expected.

Or how about when you accept a Chase Invitation, on a previously run chase, a restart, and there is a longer than normal pause and when you are spawned into the chase
you are not at the beginning behind the now running Transporters but you are at the location where the last bust happened? And you try to use BOT and this sends the game into a a black screen with swirling gadget for 20-30 seconds and you end up in the same exact location prior to using the BOT key? You quickly learn not to do that.

No, this part of the game seems to be created to either imbue the relentless, dedicated Cop mode player with Great Patience or to discourage Cop play altogether.

For the time being, though, easy BBucks are to be had with Cop play.

Everything has been said in the thread : long wait times, multiple bugs, mostly unfair chases 1v2 or 1v3, game mechanisms that greatly favor runners, and the fact that it's almost impossible to actually enjoy playing as a cop.
I regret buying CAU, as it is. That's a clear waste of money and time.
It's a shame since the game is quite good otherwise.

Sometimes as a cop, I just start ramming the heck out of the other police cars, since that's pretty much what they do to me. I eve caught a runner that way the other day. I crashed into the two police ahead of him, since I had passed him and he smacked into them. I hit my abilities and he hit his as well, which pretty much immobilized the AI that had him wedged in. Didn't get a part, but at least I got some frustration out.

The police AI in this game is not even remotely AI, it's actually more like mob mentality. Towards the end of a round yesterday I was knocked off the road by an AI police who also managed to knock a second AI police off next to me. I was stuck behind some fence and a tree, with the AI police trapped surrounded by a truck, a van and me. The AI police just went into a random ramming pattern, ramming the truck, then the van, then me. He repeated this in rapid succession until the runner had escaped and it was sad to watch, to say the least. A chimpanzee behind the wheel would have had more direction and control. My BOT was on cool down, or I might have missed the intelligence and subtle nuances that were so apparent in the AI police driving...

I have actually caught more people as a cop than have got away. It just sucks that you can't select cop when you are in another vehicle. The only option is to sit and wait and people are not going to do that very long.

Come on devs fix this or give us our money back.

If you think that is stupid and frustrating, then you haven't been a transporter being busted while being in a highspeed persuit by another cop player that has to do is to get right next to you and then you lose.
