PLEASE REMOVE ARMOUR rolls on all mods and gear pieces that can roll this and just double the base armour on each gear set. and just make the armour base roll much harder to roll higher numbers through farming. seriously the amount of useless rolls we cannot use just because armour is a must is pure bull and here is why.
having armour on all mods and gear pieces i lose out on roughly 30k skill power for my build. thats HUGE. why is this. well you can roughly get 3.5k SP on gear mods with a total of 5 for your char thats 17.5k SP alone. adding that 13k SP you cannot ROLL on your backpack thats 30k SP which can seriously change skill performance massively. or the useless critdamage rolls on both kneepads and back pack which adds to roughly 20% crit damage thats one full weapon mod worth of gear rolls that we lose for potential builds.
JUST PLEASE remove ARMOUR FROM GEAR ROLLS AND MOD ROLLS AND JUST X2 THE CURRENT BASE ARMOUR and allow it be rarer for higher armour numbers to a maximum cap for each piece.
i think you clearly haven't played the game if you think removing armour is something applicable to do. you need armour as much as you can get in tier 5, to lose over 1200 armour points or even 2100 armour points if i did what you said ide lose about 10% armour. try facing a bunch of world tier 5 enemies and say that again. this is why armour is broken it should not be rolled on gear regardless they should make gear have more armour but have the higher armour numbers much harder to drop simpleOriginally Posted by NojTuag Go to original post

and before you mention it robust chest piece is a no go, yes it claims a 10% armour increase however its 10% of your current armour points not the percentage ive tested this so running less armour actually means i get less of an increase with robust or sturdy applied meaning im more than forced to run armour in world tier 5 to actually survive might as well not even have crit dmg or skill power on the backpack or kneepads because its a must have atm which is the problem
Hell in WT5 losing 10% of your armor equates to almost 10% reduced damage mitigation, that isn't worth anything else in slot really. Kind of hope they just go back to pre-1.4 where it was super easy to hit the armor cap, at least we would go back to having some variety. I disagree with you, I do play the game(since launch & 1000hrs), I saw the Marco video a month ago, I agree with the guy who posted about the choice you can make skill power or armor and maybe you didn't like his opinion, but I liked it.
The Division was on life support pre 1.4 and the 'meta' was skill power & toughness and it was boring. It was like Rock Paper Scissors with only the rock lol.
Now the developers have given the best balance and diversity to builds in all 3 areas Firearms/Stamina/Electronics with the 3 breakdowns DPS/Armor/Skill Power.
There's still Tactician Authority gear bonuses, there's the Specialized backpack, there a lot things to build your skill power but I disagree with your points.
You can't have everything lol, I like the armor and skill power the way it is. It's balanced imo.

you just explained my point over again. firstly i did not make a choice to roll Armour, the game pretty much demands you have high Armour to survive WT5 test it yourself and see how long you survive loosing roughly 10% damage mitigation in both PvP and PvE there is a clear cut difference in surviving basically making it a must. secondly the whole point of not having armour on gear means you can actually build better builds either round crit dmg or skill power. whats the point in having both crit dmg and skillpower on gear if you know full well the chances of survival drastically dimish if you roll either or both of these on your gear. you actually must not have tested how big 10% makes in both PvP and PvE because its big.Originally Posted by NojTuag Go to original post
if Armour is going to be a 90% main roll on 4 gear pieces then it just makes all other stat roles on the holster, chest, knee-pads and backpack useless because of survival times especially in the DZ no one and i mean no one would run 10% less armour in the DZ because now with armour damage in, this makes armour even more of must have which imo was a stupid mistake to introduce because it forces everyone back to rolling armour and making all other stats useless.
the game was focused around the skill power and toughness meta pre 1.4 because the game was drastically unbalanced in many areas like the tactician build and how easy it was to to achieve insane SP and toughness the idea i suggested fixes many issues with armour, it removes the need to have it as a main stat on all 4 major pieces (this is wrong) look at other games as an example like diablo there armour is (baked in) and not something that can be changed only throught farming, secondly my idea was to make higher armour rolls on all gear to be much hard to attain through farming this way its not just a simple task to reach so not many will be at the cap anyway so there wont be a sense of getting the best of both worlds with being able to actually roll and use the other stats on gear that could easily bring in new builds ect. but atm every build it pretty much requires armour in all gear.Originally Posted by DevilDriv3rPFV Go to original post
