    The reasons I play ranked.....

    1) One of my mates says 'I'll be on in 10 minutes'. A quick game of ranked for me then so I can quit out when his ready.
    2) We fancy playing a different map for a change. Love House, love Plane. Don't care about who has advantage as maps are unbalanced. Just want to play the maps.
    3) Ranked server has kicked me or one of my mates out and there is a ban. Jump in Casual til it passes.
    4) Ranked accidental team kill (rarely happens) and there is a ban. Jump in Casual til it passes.

Most people reach and hold their diamond only with a good team, so they play casual, if they're alone...or maybe only with one buddy. Casual is a lot less stressful and better, if you just wanna play a quick game for 10 min.

Whilst I agree with you saying its a **** community and very immature at times but you gotta be ridiculous if you want to ban people from casual because they are too good. If you want to play with people your rank then that is exactly what ranked is for. I would almost expect there to be more people who are level 100+ because the game has been out for 3 years now. And level doesn't equate to skill just like any other game. You might level up quicker if you are more skilled but you could still be a trash level 200 if you play the game enough.

Casual is more fun to play than ranked

Too many people up their own backsides in ranked, plus ranked is a tad boring

    Love the unpredictability of casual

The maps in ranked have been on repeat since the dawn of time and have become stale. The only way to actually play different maps is in casual play. Ubbi originally said the ranked maps would be on "rotations" but I guess that was an outright lie.

I played to play casually. Tryhards in Casual. It is BS, but they won't fix it. They need 3 classes. A "real" Casual. Casual for smurfs and tryhards. Then Ranked. Smurfs and tryhard ruin the game for real casual players. It may be "fun" for diamonds. It's not fun for others. As far as "escaping the stress". Give me a break. Quit acting like a 10-year. Rank doesn't mean that much. You'll only lose rank if you aren't that good. The "real" Diamonds and Plats would play rank all the time. There is a point where you lose very little elo. If it's that important, have an alt and use that for ranked.

Competition is similar to that of ESL, though it's definitely toned down, but nearly half the time i will get matched with and against some ace teams and the skill level is phenomenal. I'm hot and cold so while i can go 11-2-0 some matches, it depends on my team and ofc the enemy, i can go 0-1-5 some matches as well.

Bruh, i'm level 157, and in plat3. and a lot of times I find that casual is harder than ranked (SEAS server). I always find diamonds in ranked in my server. But whne i switch to eu server with like 200 ping, people absolutely suck in casual. i barely find anybody above lv 100.

I have no problems with Platinum and Diamonds in casual but I do have a problem is with them playing crappy players.

What we really need in this game is KDR based matching in casual to keep the skill disparity to a minimum.

I was in 13 casual matches yesterday with Plat 2 and higher the highest player of the day being a clearance level 391 Plat 1 with 1.5 WL 2.0 KDR and believe me when I tell you he utterly ****ing annihilated our team which was comprised of highest Gold 3 all under 60 clearance and sub 1 KDRs.

He finished the match with 17 kills and his only deaths were to me which made me feel good but we were truly outclassed and every single aspect and his team was about the same as ours new players except for me and him.

I'm not hating on good players and that's not what this post is about but the fact is one truly top-tier player can mow through an entire team of new players and it completely ruins the game for those folks I knew we were going to lose from the beginning but I stayed because I like a good fight.

I think KDR based matching is the best way to go for casual because MMR/ Ranked matching simply doesn't work as I have hundreds of times seen plats and diamonds with sub 1 KDs who are simply carried and just bad players.

If you group players like this it'll work
    0.1 - 0.5
    0.6- 0.9
    1.0 - 1.2
    1.2 - 1.5
    1.5 - 2.0

if things were done with this way you'd see that scale disparity drop overnight and of course it wouldn't separate the players that are you know just lucky every other round but it would more equally match than our current system.

    Just food for thought

    Exactly!

That's why I've been promoting the win per hour rate idea for years.
