why do people that are 100+ and gold/diamond rank play casual? | Forums

Im lvl 103, Plat 1, and i only play casuals when I am not with my clan. If im solo and play ranked, usually theres no communication with the team and you arent really sure how everyone else plays, and this can be catastrophic to your rank. I played 3 games solo ranked in the last three days, and everyone else went negative, and I went back down to gold. Thats usually the reason why, no matter how good you do, youre not good without your team doing good.

I have never understood why people think that only new people (less than 100 or less than a certain rank) can play casual?

Why shouldn't experienced people play casual... I mean,,, its casual.. to be played casually.. I play when I want to play casual.. don't get it

I got Ranked out man.

Game releases..got friends (squad) with mic's..having a blast..play for 36hrs non stop sometimes..go into Ranked with Squad..WTF!..OMG NO WAY!!..How did he Know!.. Ad Nauseam...an hour later game is finally over. Start New match with Same map..do it all over again. Got Ranked out man.

I just Cas it with another friend. I check the stats of someone when I see newbie moves. If the player(s) are new then I chill out. I play probably 50% of what I could.

Just last night my bro and I picked up 3 randoms..2 were new and could not even get out of the Cargo hold with their drones. We showed them what we could and they held their own. We won..but that's not as important as helping them out with a good time. So yea..people could be a little more..no, a little less ambitious when new cats are on the field. But that's me. When I see someone that tripped into a water puddle on the street I help them out..not stomp in the water splashing more in their face. But there are people out there that laugh at the unfortunate. Life I guess.

Yeah, a lot of people have had this game since the beta's and a pre-order...

I never come down hard on a dumb mistake unless my polite, constructive criticism is taken as hostile i reiceve death threats and that junk lol. Caual is a good place to meet like-minded players as well, being a leevel 1-30 and having a friend or two 100+ isn't a bad thing, they can show you tips and tricks live, rather than watching youtube and trying to figure out it fromthere.

I got my gf Rainbow 6 Siege and she has been having the worst experience with it ever. The game is practically unplayable because of all the 100+ ranked people and diamond and gold ranked people filling up the casual games. Every day theres entire squads filled with people who are in a party all top ranks playing against a whole team with no communication and no one over rank 30. And its always no mercy too they act like their in ranked tea bagging everyone they kill and just being total jerks. When I get good at games I like playing against people that are as good or better because thats whats fun to me. Theres absolutely no challenge in beating noobs and its just not fun for me. So why is this community filled with people that are the opposite of that? Don't even get me started on all the team killings. This just seems to be the most immature community out of all of the fps shooters ive played. And ive had a lot of terrible experiences and my gf cant even learn the game because of how bad it is. Its not only us that have this problem too i see noobs get destroyed and tea bagged and team killed and voted out all the time. It's really lame

why do we play casual?? it is fast to get into a game, you do not know how broken matchmaking searching system in ranked is.

The answer is pretty straight forward...

Ranked is frustrating for high level players...Ranked is not doing it's job the way it should be, the skill level in ranked for the most part doesn't differ at all from casual and the matchmaking system in ranked atm is favouring the low level players, everyone and anyone can get to gold rating, the problem is those high level players who are grinding for plat or diamond and can't get other high level players matched on his team. These high level players can go into ranked or casual put up the same numbers but if in ranked he's at risk of losing 50-100 points because he's placed on low level teams well it's just less frustrating to join casual and put in the reps without having to worry about losing rating. Like I said the skill level is the same to casual and ranked the way people get matched is the same, players that have a 150 level difference are getting matched together in ranked and casual so there is no proper system to filter high level players who would like to play competitive but don't want all the hassle that comes with it.

I disagree with ranked favors low level players now. Last season my diamond account would get nothing but full diamond opponents and could make for some extremely challenging matches. This season I'm finding it's much easier, we'll be a mix of diamond/plat and go up against gold/plat most of the time. I've only faced one ridiculosly tough squad this season whereas it was almost every match before. Several times recently we'll be put up against a team of mostly golds, so I dont see how that favors them.

But as for the OP - it's really as simple as casual is stress free and fun. people like to play it at times, and ranked at other times. I play casual quite often and i'm a high level. I dont think it's any more complex as that.

If you're finding casual too sweaty then you either need to play with a squad of good people (easily done by simply becoming friends with people who smash you) or just play a different game because the beauty of rainbow six siege is that it's competitive

To OP:

Tell your girlfriend to play terrorist hunt to get to the level she needs for Ranked, and then tell her to play ranked. or take her into ranked with you.

The match-making in Casual is far too weighted in favor of people playing in Squads.

The reason I play Ranked isn't because I give two hoots about my Rank. I just HATE trying to play casual and getting pub stomped by Squads over and over and over. So I play Ranked, because at least there if I lose enough matches the system will eventually end up putting in matches I'll win.

They could fix this by banning squads in Casual entirely, or just doubling the MMR of people who are IN squads.
If the match-making of Casual is going to have such a wide range of acceptable skill levels in a single game it should be heavily tilted towards those not in Squads.
