I always thought that the point of the newsletter was to generate discussion about the possibility of DLC being hinted at for the month.

However when Dan goes around treating honest discussion as just another request and making condescending remarks I have to ask. What's the point?

Umm, when did that happen? Dan did nothing wrong.

I've seen how aggressive you tend to be with your backseat moderating so I doubt you would ever be able to see anything "wrong" with what Dan says.

How about you answer the question and not start drama.

Seems we have something of a pot and kettle situation here. I was simply asking a legitimate question about these newsletter hints which I'm not going to repeat.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to embed Tweets here so the specific example I have won't be seen here. This isn't exactly an isolated incident though, Dan and other moderators are quite eager to shutdown anything they perceive as a request and that will not doubt continue to create problems with regards to the newsletter hints.

POST #5 says Dan deconfirmed Green Day, but there's no mention of Green Day anywhere (or a post by Dan). Some editing may have taken place...

The chain of Tweets that Grumble was referring to is what I was talking about. Now I feel bad for even bringing this up. It just bothers me when people take stuff out of context and thanks to character limits on Twitter it's quite easy to do.

FWIW, it could be helpful in understanding your comment if you quoted or provided the source of the remarks to which you are referring, for those who might not have seen what was said. (Also, I believe that's what ghmorello is saying in his own way as well)

Like I said I don't know how to embed Tweets and it's not exactly an isolated incident. I think that the Ubi moderators could stand to improve their communication with the community. That being said I respect that it's a very difficult job given the tendency for some in any community to feel entitled.
