If RL is asking me what kind of bike would i like to see added, i donīt like physics-breaking so i wouldnīt wanna see another Stallion-like bike, it would be useless for me. And since i donīt like riding bricks, i donīt wanna another Agent-like bike, would also be useless. And since the Donkey is perfect the way it is, tier-less and with itīs own LB, i wish nothing changes there. So by process of elimination, my wish for Santa would be.....a new legendary bike? I think that might be what you want me to want.

As for my favorite bike.... thatīs like having a favorite song or movie. I canīt pick.... Definately under the category "comedy" iīd give the award to the Donkey, hilarious bike, action packed. But then i also like some drama, adventure etc, so the other bikes are great too. That is......except for the Jackal. The Jackal is like a movie with Nicholas Cage. You get through it but in the end youīre always disappointed.

I had a number of angry posts here when the KTM was first released. Frankly, I'm still not past that. I enjoy and use the KTM, but it was the worst move the devs have made.

The KTM is a good bike, and it was a good addition to the game. I enjoy using it. The problem is like what xitooner and justinman114 were talking about. It was added way too late, and it effectively erased the hard work of the people who had been grinding away for the last two years. The KTM made the Tango COMPLETELY irrelevant to the leaderboards. There is no track where the tango is more useful. Adding another legendary bike to the game (and not giving it its own separate leaderboard) is essentially giving the competitive players in the community the finger.

I love that you guys are looking for ways to improve the game and that you are constantly pumping out new content. It's fantastic, and it's more than enough reason to keep playing. But people tend to like to keep their progress. When somebody makes a rank 1 time, they are probably happy with it. They matched up against the competition, found the most optimal strategy, and repeatedly shaved time off their run. They are the fastest rider in the world! Why should they ever have to play that track again to keep their top position if nobody can beat them with the same bike? It's unfair to release bikes that change the status quo of the leaderboards, and it sucks that you guys think you have to do that to keep the game relevant.

People love the game, and would continue loving the game if you gave the next legendary bike its own leaderboard. The competitive players, who have come to distrust you guys, would love the game even more if you respected them enough to give the coming legendary bike its own leaderboard. Please, keep the Mantis, Marauder, Berserker, and Phantom useful.

*Extra note: can you IMAGINE the uproar in the Trials Fusion community if a bike was released that was faster than the roach and pit viper?

Sigh. Alas Mantis ... you deserve more than the stab in the back you will get. We'll bury you next to the Tango.

I don't think I could have said this better myself. RL, seriously consider what we are saying here. Then go ahead and do what you are going to do anyways. Just remember, money is always more important than fun.

You know me, I ain't gonna use that crap. My Mantis will live on forever, along with my Tango.

They might as well delete all the other bikes and just have a KTM tier 1, 2 and 3. That's what's going to eventually happen anyway. The game might as well be called Trials KTM or KTM Frontier or some other corporate name of the same ilk. BS.

Why not simply have a separate KTM leaderboard with a bike for each tier? That way the core game stays and yet everyone still gets to have fun with the extra content, the company paying you get their advertising (which people can choose to ignore if they wish). A solution that suits everybody! It sucks that other bikes and people's hard work are being rendered useless.

I'd like to add my voice to the chorus of previous posts. Carter voiced most of my sentiments towards the KTM, but I would like to add a few more.

Not only has it rendered the Tango completely useless, it has made the Bronco obsolete on several tracks it previously either dominated, or barely beat out the Tango on. This homogenizes the choice of bike within the track pool, and makes the game much more uniform and stale. See Moonlight Towers, Market Street, even The Cave leaderboards.
This problem will likely be even worse with the advent of a Tier 2 KTM. I can only imagine that the Mantis will be rendered as obsolete as the Tango, but Marauder tracks are typically less polarized speed tracks than Bronco tracks. This will mean the Marauder will almost certainly be lost nearly to the extent that the Mantis will, to the point where we only really have one bike of choice for Tier 2. This SUCKS. It has been so cool over the years to see tracks change hands between agile and speed bikes with new timesavers found, and this will cease to exist.

Finally, putting a new Tier 2 KTM in a separate leaderboard likely won't achieve RedLynx's goals, which is publicity and product placement for KTM. I, for one, don't give a crap about the crazy bike leaderboards. The great news is RedLynx already solved this issue with the Trials Evolution DLC! They introduced the Banshee, which for some tracks would have been superior to the Phoenix. However, they limited the Banshee to use only in DLC tracks, and not the initial game, keeping the integrity of the leaderboards intact. I doubt this would be hard to implement in Trials Frontier as well. Just limit the use of the KTM to tracks released with or after the KTM, and prevent its use in all previously released Tier 2 tracks. Great solution for everyone. Good product placement on the primary global leaderboards, we get a fun new bike to play with, and most importantly it doesn't destroy everything we have worked so hard for to date.

Please for the love of god don't kill the Mantis. It is my favourite bike by a large margin, and I don't want it to be completely obsolete.

Why is it my favourite bike? (on topic )
    1. It leans at a pace such that grip is easy to find - much more so than the berserker.
    2. It accelerates quickly, never feels sluggish.
    3. The suspension feels really nice. KTM 500-EXC has super squishy forks. Speed bikes are typically ultra rigid. Mantis is in the goldilocks zone.

I mean, what's the point of having bike choices for each tier if there is only one worth using?

What is even the point of this forum topic if we all are basically going to be forced to use the same few bikes?

    *majestic wonder*

Just coming from a different perspective... how many of you complaining about the existence of the KTM as a tier 1 bike have top 100 leader board times? How many in the top 200?

I ask because I don't. My best time is on underground slopes and it was a fluke run that put me in the top 800ish area.

I have all bikes except the stallion and agent and I like the KTM. From an average riders perspective, you guys have a 1%er problem that the overwhelming majority of players don't care about. Understandably, the minority is also the most vocal because they are the type of hardcore players who seek out a forum for the game but remember that the folks at the top of the leaderboard are a tiny fraction of the total number of players.

If you truly care about being the best, go out and defend your championship. A boxer doesn't get to be heavyweight champion of the world forever by winning one fight, if you want to be the champ you need to constantly defend what's yours.

There's a new challenger in town and his name is the KTM 500. Take the challenge and defend your leaderboard spot.
