Ok, so you think the missions will respawn indefinitely? I don't think that's what they mean by being able to replay the missions as many times as you want. I think they mean that you can load the missions at any point. Same as if you loaded a savegame.

As for the immersion-breaking respawning enemies, I'd hope Ubi has moved past that. This shouldn't be a Far Cry rehash.

Hard core gr fans are so demanding why would ubi listen to you anyway when only about 1% of you will buy the game because it's not real enough or doesn't have this and that it's a game it has to appeal to everyone not just gr fans or they would only make $1000

Lmao. What does that have to do with this topic?

And why do you think they would ? it is optional in Far Cry and in the Division, so why you are afraid of it would become different in the next game of the same guys ? :-/

For the size of this game, you will be able to play the same missions over and over but complete them in different ways. Probably in different difficulty settings to test out your skills. But the way the gameplay is now from past videos, i am not hyped at all for the game.....but, then again. I am looking forward to the Beta.

Well if the tech test was any indication, areas do seem to repopulate after awhile.

That would make my OCD go a little crazy. I like the idea of cleansing an area and having the innocent local populace remain free of the terrorists we just liberated them from.

I guess from a realism perspective it's ok though in that whole "kill 1 and 10 more take their place" kind of a thing. It's not like drug cartel leaders are going to be like "we lost that base, better cut our losses." They're likely to retake their lost property.

I can go either way but I think I (and my OCD) would be happier with the former and just have a menu to replay missions but it's not going to break me to see it the other way (although it would be really weird to see named bosses respawn).

Tats kind of how i logically justify it. If the cartel is losing ground they might become more aggressive to assert their dominance over a region, and with that narrative in mind I might even like it if the areas got repopulated with harder enemies. It could actually work for 2 aspects. 1 for narrative reasons that I stated previously and 1 for gameplay where the player will be "stronger" with more skills and weapons so the harder enemies essentially scale up to the player's strengths and keeps the challenge through out.

It would be nice if we could install the friendly guerilla forces in some areas. It's fun to see the world change due to to your actions. I'd much prefer all the respawning be in a new game+ mode though. Truthfully, it doesn't really matter to me how that's handled either way; it's a minor point compared to what I'm hoping to get out of the game.

I mean, I waited till 3 months till release to offer any feedback (had no idea the developer was this engaged with the community). At this point, all I'm expecting is a fun 3rd person, open world, tactical co-op shooter with good stealth and gun mechanics and a deep character/weapon customizer. Based on all the information we've seen, I'm positive that's the very least we're going to get. Anything more (and I'm sure there's lots more stuff I'm going to love) is just icing on the cake.

Even if its a minor topic, doesn't mean we can't have some fun discussing it.
