There is a bug where sometimes the game thinks you are not holding the shield. I have had it happen a couple of times. Only fix is to reload. It had nothing to do with positioning (all enemies where in front of my shield).

Seriously though, anyone that uses the shield knows how it works. So please get off your high horse. You clearly haven't experienced the bug.

1.5 was rushed. No doubt about it. Two main gripes:

    >All kinds of bugs in missions on Xbox (but at least they aren't in high profile missions that people are running 20+times a day right?? /sigh)

    >Matchmaking in UG sucks.

    Other random stuff:

This was a new one for me. I tried to join the group I got matched with for Lexington and I loaded into a room on the other side of the map with a pile of red mobs. Cleared and fast traveled to the mission.

Also - this is something I am unable to reliably recreate but there seems to be a failed "gear check" at some points. Like the game thinks you are naked occasionally and a red can almost one shot you. Again - can't reliably recreate but it has made for some eyebrow arching moments.

    Hi again,

Spent 5-6 hours yesterday again with the shield, really really tried to push myself to get damage through it but no luck. I did however notice on UG that when that Special ammo directive is on, the special effect of the npc bullets will go through the shield (no damage though, just the effect, except cleaner incendiary rounds which do the burn damage), this what you mean?

I play this game since Beta, I am DZ lvl 99 with my main char, and even my pve char is around 40 or 50. I clocked almost 500hrs into this game, do you really think I don't know that enemies can shoot me from the side? Do you even realize how ignorant and condescending you sound?

It's a bug, if you haven't experienced it, great for you, but there have been countless bugs with this shield since the release of the game. At some point you could even shoot with your primary weapon and the shield up, long before the frontline set.
He doesn't. Acts this way in pretty much every thread. Best to just ignore him and move on with the discussion.

Anyway, I got a new bug, for me anyway.

My SMG was firing into the back of my shield. I was able to fix it without having to drop the shield and wait for a new one, but I am not sure exactly what I did to fix it. I think it was pressing Y, even though that doesn't actually switch weapons, I think that is what fixed it.

    Yep.

And I just remembered the gun does not render at all, either. Just the empty crippled hand with bullets hitting the back of the shield.

Died for first time doing the napalm Factory yesterday as I got stuck on a wall and couldn't get out of a flame thrower. Started to move along the wall but then got stuck between the flame thrower and a rioter with an axe and could not move at all.

I especially like it when you are in cover and tell the character to go left in cover and they go right and pop ut in front of shot gunners!!!!

Whenever I leave a friend's session inside a checkpoint and return to my own, I can never access the Stash or restock there, I have to fast travel to another checkpoint or the Base. Also, I'm no longer able to set any waypoints towards any main mission icon on the map, it doesn't let me.
I had this the first time yesterday at Kerman Station safe house in PVE

You're losing control of your character because your CPU is choking at 100%. Its being investigated.

    Losing control of your character

This is straight up game breaking for me, and it makes you want to break your desk in half when it happens, especially in pvp situations. Sometimes it's just a little mouse glitch, like half a second delay, but most of the time I am losing complete control over my character and he just keeps on doing what he was doing for 5-10 seconds. Most of the time, this means running straight into a wall. This happens around every 10 minutes now for me, and it's completely unacceptable. This is a shooter game, it needs to feel precise and direct, losing complete control over your character is pure frustration.

    - Buggy D3 Frontline set

I really really enjoy playing this set, at least in theory. It's finally a different play style and is a great addition to bring more set variety to the game. However, the set is a total mess at the moment. I don't even know where to begin. The general feeling of the set is extremely sluggish, sometimes he drops the shield for no reason, sometimes he shows holding the shield but bullets go right through, dowing me in 2 seconds, without the shield health bar showing any decrease.

And what about the secondary weapon and side arm? I know you said the fact you can't use the pistol is intentional, but a) That doesn't make any sense whatsoever, and b) the behaviour is still inconsistent then.

When you take cover or lean against a wall, you can actually switch to sidearm or pistol at times, but sometimes you can't. So please tell us, what is the expected behaviour here, as currently, it's definitely bugged. And if we can't use any other weapon than the smg, what's the purpose of the other 2 weapons then? Seems like a conceptual flaw to me.

edit: Smth I originally forgot to mention ( thanks Aaron_Clover ), the gun completely turning dysfunctional with this set. Happened around 3 or 4 times, you just can not shoot anymore at all with your SMG, relog is the only way to fix it.

Oh yeah, and apparently some people can even crit with this set, unfortunately not me.

Exactly this. Both of these bugs have been happening to me constantly since 1.5 rolled in. Not to mention running a 3 phase Underground mission just to have an NPC stuck behind a closed door unable to kill/interact with it to complete the mission at PHASE 3!
