Add me to the list of people with windows problems caused by the game. Quite annoying.

Hopefully they are already looking into it and will fix it.

In the meantime I just found this in another thread (warning: it will completely disable multiplayer, also I have not yet tested it)

"Add "-eac_launcher" to the launch parameters (game launch argument in UPlay), and it'll run without it.
I have to do this, because EAC makes the game crash my pc completely after about 30 minutes, forcing me to pull the power."

    Hello everyone.

In regards to this, please try reinstalling the Microsoft C++ redistributable package from this link. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...s.aspx?id=5555.

After this is installed, restart the system and then run the game. If you still experience system issues after quitting the game, then we will need DxDiag, Msinfo and your Watch Dogs 2 confilg files sending to our support team.

At the bottom of this FAQ has links to generating the system reports, and you can find the config file at Documents/"My Games"/"Watch_Dogs 2"/WD2_GamerProfile.xml.

When we get these through, then we can investigate this further for you guys.

Very "useful" answer. I've already have the newest version of the Microsoft C++ redistributable package.

I've sent a ticket with dxdiag and msinfo. I hope you fix this issue soon.

Looks like Win10 doesn't support Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86), according to system requirements here. The installation doesn't even start.

    Ticket submitted also.

I thought my PC was the reason for this. It's only happened to me once, and the issue is exactly what is described above. Opening new programs, folders etc isn't working. It's like the entire Windows Explorer just freezes.

This happened for me BEFORE the latest patch if that helps. Out of maybe 10-15 times starting up/closing the game it has happened once. It's a serious issue regardless when something like this happens on OS-level.
