I tried but if I uninstall High Res Texture from Uplay then in the game I can't select "Ultra". Max setting in Resolution Texture that I can select is "High".Originally Posted by Disturbed..... Go to original post
I'm also having the issue of being able to select 'Ultra' from in-game settings, but Ultra Texture Pack is showing as 'Not Installed' in-game... with no way to 'install' it.
UPlay has it listed under the installed DLC section, with an uninstall button beside it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the DLC and the game itself. No change.![]()
Well considering nobody has seemed to give a direct answer to the question, I shall ask it again:
When starting Watch Dogs 2 and going into the "Premium Content" menu, scrolling down to "Ultra Texture Pack", I find that it says "Not Installed". Yet in the DLC section of my Watch Dogs 2 game menu in the Uplay client, it says I have the "Hi-Res Texture Pack" installed. Considering they are named two different things, it is not clear if the high-res texture pack and the ultra texture pack are different. If they are not different, why is it saying that I do not have it installed? Is the game able to access the texture files that are downloaded even though the pack is listed as "not installed" in the "Premium Content" menu? Is it true that if you can set your texture quality to "Ultra" that means that the pack is installed and accessible by the game?
Hopefully someone can answer this now and we can figure wtf is going on lol.
Just wanted to say don't get your hopes up with the high res texture pack, I have it installed and all settings maxed with +100% Extra Detail, the graphics are what I would call normal for a PC game these days, and worse for a newly released game. Without the high res texture pack I guess the game would look like GTA V on Medium settings.

I apologise for the confusion and the naming of the texture pack. I can confirm, just as "Rawrena" has mentioned before, the High Res Texture Pack and Ultra Texture Pack is he same thing. Here is a link to the FAQ on our Support site that may help clarify the issue further. Please note the first line:
" the Ultra Texture Pack - or High Res Texture Pack, despite the slightly different name, we are talking about the same content "
Thanks
