1.5 great, PVE survival is horrible in my opinion

I liked 1.4 so much that I was able to convince some friends to buy Division with me. They enjoyed it also. 1.5 dropped and I still like it, except the new survival and let me clarify that and say that it was fun until two things happened that absolutely annoy me. These two things will make it so I probably don't play survival mode very much. First major issue is that if play PVE mode, it should be PVE mode, being able to kill a player who is unconscious and take their crap is not PVE. We've had it happen twice were we had a player on our team go unconscious, before the rest of our team gets to him to revive him, some random comes up and kills him and takes his crap. This is BS. The second thing that pisses me off is groups in PVE that will spawn their hunters at the extraction zone when you arrive, and then run away, which leaves one guy to fend for themselves with about 8-9 hunters which means you die, then they come in and take your crap. PVE mode is not PVE at all, the only difference is that players can't direct kill you (unless you're unconscious). I don't know how you can fix the extraction issue, that one really bothers me when other player purposely ambush you with their hunters so they can take your crap. I think you should remove the ability to finish off a player who is unconscious in PVE. Survival is a different game, I actually liked it until those two things happened. I really want to like Survival, but I can't when those two things happen.

Yeap you kill a bot and then some other dude takes the loot you killed.
I got to the extraction place and there was already one hunter and when i killed him i was out of bullets.
Then some other guy who i revived before used he's flair gun cause i didnt find division tech nowhere and new hunter comes so i was on a pistol the start pistol.
They should add ammo box in the safe house inside the dark zone cause there are to many of these NPC roaming around that are not easy to kill especially when you run 45 minutes in light zone and cant loot your self even a purple gear. Gearing up should be faster in this game or at least in the start give us a yellow pistol.

I was going to start my own thread about PVE survival but as you have already done so, i will resist the urge to do so. Besides, your title is much nicer than mine would have been. I took a LONG break from the game, and fired it back up about a week before 1.5 dropped. i was very happy with a majority of the changes, and shared with the rest of my Clan that Division was worth playing again (at least pve).

Survival dropped, and as I trained in the Philippine Islands with nothing but a knife and a very nice Filipino man who told me which bugs were the good ones to eat, I thought I had this in the bag! Seriously, NYC in a snowstorm...how hard could this be?

I probably have over 50 attempts at this. I have gotten to the dark zone about 10 times, retrieved my viral 4? 5? times, and crafted my flare gun 4 times. All 4 have ended with failure as even with my back to a corner, the hunter always manages to show up behind me to start the fight. yippie. The last 2 games, The antivirus spawned in DZ 6 at the extraction zone with yellow LMB with electric guns who charge because they seem to know you cant kill them. Once I got killed by two hunters still at the extraction zone from the last guys. I had lots of words to say about the lineage of the person who didn't include de-spawn code once they are done with the kill. Totally amateur and lazy.

    Issues:
The antiviral spawn algorithm is the second worst piece of coding ever. If you say it shows up in a random zone, I will call you a liar. To your face.

Mob movement coding takes first place for the laziest coding ever.. Even as a casual player, I love a challenge as long as I feel I am on equal footing with the opponent. Every last being in this game not controlled by a player can move faster than I can train my weapon in a traversal (that's Horizontally BTW). They also instantly know where I am, and can send bullets back at me before I can get back into cover from my surprise sniper round. The NPC's weapons have accuracy and range that is far superior to anything I can use.

Since 1.5, the bat chargers will (no joke) teleport to their target and hit them with a bat. This happened all night long to a friend and I doing underground missions last night.

I left after 1.2 because PVP was the only thing left to do, and that was horribly broken. I came back because there were pve things to do again. It would be nice if the game was working well enough that a casual solo player was able to do it. Not asking you to "dumb this down". I am asking that a level playing field actually be level, and not have the mobs be on a speed hack, and psychically know when I have a scope pointed at them (I tested this: for 5 minutes the mob didn't move. I de-scoped and he popped up like he had a spring loaded butt).

This game still has potential. I have not totally given up hope, but I can see the end from where I am standing.

I find it almost too challenging as well. I've played only about 15 times and I've made it to the extraction 5 times(1 time solo) and the Hunters are ridiculously hard.

My main problems with the Hunters are their health regeneration which is practically instant. When they're almost dead they pop med kits and instantly they're full health again. Also another issue I've noticed is when there is more than 1 Hunter it seems impossible to down more than 1 due to the health regen.

The other issue which makes it extremely difficult is once in the dz I find it very hard to find the resources with lack of sufficient time to craft the gear to even have a chance fighting the NPC's.

I also agree too with the bat & shield rushers. They practically 'slide' teleport to melee and it's frustrating.

I like the Division and this DLC but the difficulty to me is very much like when Ubisoft/Massive released the 1st Incursion. Way to hard.

Maybe with time it'll get easier but yea I agree with a lot of your thoughts.

    Agree, agree, agree.

And this especially annoys me as well:
and psychically know when I have a scope pointed at them
I have already mentioned this in another thread, too lazy to dig it up though
