You guys have made extraordinary improvements to this game. I'm very impressed with the way the game is right now. Players are returning, and with them comes this one old frustration that there must be some sort of solution to. The chat channels - in particular, the lack of any separation by language. It shouldn't be my job to be constantly ignoring people who don't speak english in order for the channel to be readable.
I understand there are probably technical issues with creating regional chat channels, but there must be other ways. What about a filter system? Allow us to toggle seeing any messages with non english symbols, or for people in china allow them to toggle off non chinese text, etc etc.
Please put some effort into this - if only to lower the prevalence of ignorant racial slurs triggered by frustration at the unreadable chat spam.
Your reply completely misrepresents my intentions, I'm sure even non english speaking people have no interest in seeing all the english jibber jabber too.Originally Posted by LepantoESP Go to original post
Actually, what we need more than anything in Survival is for the map to stop being instanced.
The DZ is supposed to be 24 players all on the same server instance, right?
So why the hell are the 24 of us in a Survival game not on the same server instance? At least six times in six games last night I'm either at an extraction point where 2-4 others are either asking for help to down some bad guys or I'm down myself and another player is trying to find me to rez me. The chat is going crazy, and we're literally "No Man's Sky"-ing trying to find each other. Players telling each other EXACTLY where their body is, yet no one can find them because they are in a different instance somehow...????
What is the point of this? Who thought this **** was a good idea? There's no risk vs reward in either PvP or PvE when I'm standing on top of a downed agent who needs me to rez him yet he's in an entirely different instance. I can't choose to help him then work together to extract or wait for him to "die" (then the 5 minute timer kicks in) if he's not even in the same instance I am...
