Played a few games but managed to get to the antidote(or w.e. it was called) once.
When I got there. The place was crawling with elite(yellow) enemies.
Am I supposed to kill them all solo?
I only had a couple purple items and the rest blue items, and had pulse and first aid station skills.
I only play solo PvE and nothing really is too bad apart from the hunters. Yesterday I managed to extract with two other players who happened to be at the EP at the same time. It was a piece of cake to kill 3 hunters between three random players. But it is a lot more difficult to kill one hunter by one player. Not to mention that sometimes there are two hunters which makes it almost impossible to extract.
The way I play it is that I avoid as much contact as possible. The antidote area did not have elites in any of my playthroughs, but it does spawn the veterans (possibly elites?) once you open the box.
So what I do is I clean the area, figure my way out, wait for the skills to cooldown.
Then I open the crate and GTFO. No reason to get into fights. In solo I try to avoid all contact.
What havent done yet is solo extraction. The turret seems to be a good way to deal with hunters, but I am yet to do it by just myself. But I think there is a high incentive to cooperate with others, I dont see that much of an issue.
It is absolutely soloable. Just take your time. No need to rush into the DZ. Gather as much as you possibly can. Kill as many mobs as possible as they are the best chance at painkillers and meds. Once you hit the DZ craft a HE Custom M44. 2 headshots kills a hunter.
Use pulse and ballistic shield.
Its actually quote easy solo once you know how
I have found a few painkillers on mobs, the only thing is I pick them up when I run over them and only find it out when I look at the wheel.
Survival is easily doable solo as long as rng is on your side, I find sticking to areas with buildings worked best on my runs so far, I tend to run around the area around the right side of the map, searching apartments made it easier to get the items to fight the cold for starters, I also lots of food/drink and after a fight I tend to use energy bars to keep my health full.
I saved up a lot of my resources and only made basic equipment in the LZ when I enter the DZ I avoid any yellow mobs until I can get to a safe house and make all greens resources blue and then blue to yellow. The DZ is easy to farm with pulse being my go to perk to scan and area before entering, one of the first things I do is get some division tech, craft a good weapon and some gear, this enables to farm more in the DZ and eventually you can be fully kitted and the hunters go down in a few seconds. You don't have to be fully geared but if you have fun I find its worth it as you can get more survival caches off the yellow mobs.
I have tried a few extraction points and find the ones at cross junctions seemed easier to manage IMO, the roof areas I tried had lots more cover for hunters so I had to chase them down which is more dangerous.
I tend to play as stealthy as possible only going for regular mobs as I want to save my medkits. Once i get into the DZ, I bring in my inner Splinter Cell and go completely Ghost. Anything and everything that can help you survive the extraction is more important than trying to clear out mobs who are in your way.
Splinter Cell has always taught you to find an alternate route.

And yes solo is the only way to do it cause of the loot system where you need to share the mats.
Seems like bots give loot to everyone in group. Well i have played one time with one friend and we got killed by the NPC grenade spam
Cant revive friend if i get grenades under me all the time.
