First week back, shock turrets still horrid on console.

First week back, grinding in the dark zone, I'm finding I'm doing fine staying alive in pvp, except people are still running shock turrets. It's basically get shocked, then dump a whole clip into their face while defense-less.

I remember hating this in 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 if I recall correctly. I had to resort to using them because so many times I lost battles for this reason and this reason only.

In a fight just now, I actually managed to get shocked by a turret, almost died, then ran around a truck and started shooting at the turret only to flamed by another turret on the other side of the truck and lit on fire.

I'm not being a fussy mussy, but it's really annoying to die being stood straight up defenseless not able to move, shoot, use skills, meanwhile 4 different guns are shooting me in the face. RIP.

I really enjoy aspects of the DZ, but truly Hate turrets. How can 1 skill tip the scale so much in pvp. If you really think about this, 4v4 is fair and no one dies quick if everyone is running around and rolling and hiding and not shooting until a shock turret zaps someone, then pounce like hyenas. Now it's 3v4 and if both teams are evenly matched, RIP. All because a shocked agent was defenseless and removed from the scene to tip the scale.

I don't class my seeker mines as crowd control. They are just extra friendly and get a little excited when meeting people. But like a dog really but they've got a nasty habit of self combustion. 😊

I know, right? Mine is so happy when it meets new people, it chirps excitedly and tries to jump into their arms.

I think you are looking at the situation all wrong. There is nothing wrong with shock turrets. Flame turrets are even stronger and seeker mines are absolutely disabling. These skills create variety in the game and make fights interesting. You need to increase your situational awareness and play around the turrets. The problem is people are too quick to blame other things but themselves when they play badly.

Yesterday afternoon my team went manhunt. We then had 6 other players find us and start attacking us and eventually I was the last one standing and had to go on the run. I had the remaining 4 from the 6 players chasing me down. I was dropping a turret as I ran to try and slow them down, which it did a little. Eventually their Predator with his assault rifle made me bleed and forced me to take cover. My skills were on cooldown so all I had was my guns. I managed to kill 3 of them, but the last player downed me. The whole thing lasted just over 20 minutes and even though I lost it was great fun.

My point is that skill weapons have a use and they work well, but at the end of the day it's still the guns that do the killing. Skill weapons are simply part of a players tactics.

I wish mine were like that!! Mine have little man syndrome and seem to run off and pick fights with whoever is about. I never seem to be able to make friends, as soon after, those people disappear quite quickly.... saying that they normally leave me a farewell gift ;D

Hey, thanks for the feedback. We will continue to see how things play out and take action if necessary.

Remember that they do have limited range and don't have a lot of health.

I've seen a marked dip in players running turrets, but it could be me.
