There is any kind of ragdoll in this game?
Ive noticed death animations are always the same for each execution, i guess adding ragdoll would feel less repetitive and more satisfying. But in the other hand, the death animations are cool and very realistic, and looking at the other ubisoft games i can tell you that they SUCK in making a realistic ragdoll (assassins creed, watch dogs ).
If the devs could make a more realistic ragdoll, they should totally implement it into the game. But if they would add those horrible and robotic ragdolls from most UBI games, i think we are better off without them.
This is not just a suggestion to for honor , but to Ubisoft itself: move to a different engine for your next games, pay for some license like euphoria, havok, rage, cryengine, whatever makes your games less weird. its nothing compared to what you guys earn with a single AC game. BUT pls! you have to get rid of those horrible physics in your games, ive seen ghost recon wildlands gameplay, and you guys still use that crappy ragdoll :/
So what you guys think? Should they make an awesome ragdoll or not? If so, i hope they could add it in time for the upcoming beta![]()
yea this was something i considered on the post, if they would make those crappy physics, just forget i said anything xD.
But the ragdoll i was thinking, it should applied AFTER the death animation, so when you die, you die smoothly, and not simply pasted on the floor, i mean, have you seen the death animations on stairs/elevated ground? its so weird, you go through the ground texture and dies "floating". Just add a tiny physics command at the end of the death animation command line! (easy for me to say)
Now, another thing i noticed is that the blocking animation while on the ground, kinda of "teleports" you up. They should add a proper animation to blocking from the ground and even add the ability to dodge roll while on the ground. 40% of all abilities put you in the ground, they should definately add those
Oh, that's what you meant? I thought you meant like after death people would ragdoll like they do in the Souls games, and you'd have people walk over them, and their corpse would spin around between their feet.Originally Posted by LastMoh1can Go to original post
In that case I'm totally with you. To be fair to them, though, the game is still a work in progress. All the alphas have been true alphas. You can definitely tell that for however much polish exists (and there's a barrel full), there are still some rough edges that need ironing out. I find it hard to judge something like that too harshly until release. On the other hand, if it's not pointed out, it might be overlooked.
Nah, nothing so weird like that ^^, just add a tiny reaction, so we dont get pasted on the floor, get floating somewhere else, or even when you fall from those cliffs ( cause the animation is terrible and you dissapear iwhile falling). Im no coding expert, but ive seen games "lock" the physics animation a few seconds after death, when there is no more gravity applied to the corpse it would "lock" and prevent any additional force moving it, Ingenious enough to stop people spinin' my head right round while im on my way to valhala.Originally Posted by MisterWillow Go to original post
But ofc, the game is in its early stages and there are hundreds of other suggestions, but like you said, if its not pointed out, it might be overlooked. But what ive seen so far, most people here dont want ragdoll, and i agree with them, if the ragdoll doesnt get proper treatment, it mght be just a reason to laugh and not to praise.
