This in intendend and was communicated (at least in the State of the game stream).
We should test the overall 1.5 changes therefore survival is disabled.

    Hi,

As being pointed out already, this is indeed intended and has been communicated earlier on.

The weekly State of the Game is great but not everyone watches and so communicating in that video or even in this blog that SURVIVAL is offline for an unspecified number of days is NOT the proper way to communicate this information. The games Patch Notes and or News Feed section IS the one place that this key piece of information should be listed. I was unable to watch the most recent state of the game and was not back home and able to test out 1.5 till today and I wasted my lunch hour trying to figure out why the hell SURVIVAL was showing as offline!

ATTN MASSIVE: Key information like the temporary disabling of a DLC on the PTS should be listed in the games patch notes and or news area. These are the places you normally place important details and so this is where we go to find this information. Stating it in the weekly state of the game and or on the blog are great additions but this info needs to be in the games designated information areas first!

Exactly what I said years before. I went crazy while searching for the failure on my side, because I didn't find any information since someone in terminal said "still offline". I was just a step before reinstalling.
    Not thus serious, Ubisoft. :-(

After my terribly long ordeal of downloading the PTS to check out the PvP and PvE sides of the highlight of the Survival 1.5 patch, the biggest part of the patch is blocked, because reasons? And for no specified amount of days, which basically means I spent over 6 hours downloading nearly 40gb (Bad 'net) of uselessness. Hopefully the other expansion goodies are worth checking out.

Bring it online soon, please. I see so much praise for the main content in this expansion, the new instanced LZ, I think it's fantastic and it's how I thought The Division would be before I even saw gameplay footage, I was disappointed when it wasn't' an actual blackout, abandoned metropolis, actual survival.

Now.. well now it's awesome, and I'll have to wait until the content is actually released on the live servers before I can see it? Wasn't the PTS initially created to test ALL aspects of upcoming content? Okay, so a lot of people played in the new LZ, but that's a good thing, there might be one tiny little bug that's so easy to miss, and that insurmountable amount of players doing the new LZ might find it, but if it's not open they can't find it. I'm just spit-balling here, but you get my point.

Chances are nobody will really read all of this, honestly I don't particularly care, this patch is an incredible improvement over the current games' state. But Ubisoft, my point is, you made a PTS to allow people to test upcoming content for bugs, exploits, glitches and anything that seems out of place, so if you block the biggest part of that said content.. well, how can they fully test it?

I'm ranting, feel better now. Later.
