Agents,
Now that you've had a few days to test out the Survival on the PTS, we are looking to gather your feedback on several aspects of the game mode based on the time you've spent playing it so far.
Visit the Survey below and let us know!

As always, feel free to discuss it in this thread!
Thanks,
The Division Team
Once I got the idea behind it I enjoyed it and I agree with others who have said that if this is how it was in the actual game world with differing weather events then it would be an awesome experience.
I have enjoyed playing this PTS more than the previous one.
While the enemy difficulty is perfectly fine, it is too easy to survive in the new game mode.
Issue 1: too many resources. You literally can ignore some loot, because you inventory is full of food, water, ammo and medicine. Too many crafting materials. You don't struggle. You don't save. You don't have to decide what to craft first, a health kit, or a scarf? You simply can craft both. Easily and any time.
Issue 2: too many drop. Almost every enemy pack drops a gear piece. You don't have too loot those crafting materials crates, because you can deconstruct all extra loot, craft something useful, and you won't run out crafting materials.
Issue 3: Cold and Food doesn't really matter. They simply doesn't punish you enough. You won't die if you will ignore food. You can simply use your med kit. You have plenty of them. You can ignore the cold by simple running from one fire to another, from one shelter to another. You fully restores in a shelter. Why bother? And above that, it is warm in the DZ. I've never seen a temperature in the DZ below -15 degrees. I've never seen a blizzard in the DZ. As soon as you reach the DZ you may forget about cold at all.
And the water... You don't really need this extra vision because these crates with loot are literally two steps away from each other.
Issue 4: lack of restricted areas. Actually we don't have any. What about locked doors? What about locked crates? What about contaminated areas? Yeah, there are some in the DZ but you DON'T really need to enter in there. You have plenty of everything. Why risk your life?
Suggestions:
- Reduce drop from all sources.
- Remove 30-50% of all crates.
- Increase requirements for crafting.
- Make cold and food matter. Decrease the amount of fires in the streets. Limit the quantity of flares. Make flares craftable. The cold damage shouldn’t be cured by a med kit. It’s a ridicules! Forbid sprinting if you cold, hungry or thirsty (just as you under bleeding effect).
- Add locked crates and doors. Add keys as a drop from named enemies and craftable lock-picks (expensive one, so that I could decide what to craft first). Add valuable items in these locked crates and behind locked doors.
- Add more contaminated areas outside the Dark Zone. The highest risk, the greatest reward.
I do understand that this kind of “improvements” may push casual players away, or force them to play 2 hours in a row in one activity for a slim chance of being rewarded. That’s why I suggest to add another level of difficulty for Survival mode for hardcore players, but for the casual players leave everything as it is (with some improvements)
Hey Gabe,
great Survey, but there is one Question missing. The one about the Player Count, 24 Players are not enough for such a big map. A minimum of 32 atleast in the PvP Mode would be much better. Keep up the good work!
It wasn't clear at all how much time I had for which resistance (food, water, medicine). I get that you want low-clutter interface, but these are really unclear when you start out.
I really disliked the "heartbeat" sounds that indicated "something" but you can't know what.
Radial menus work weirdly (IMO). I have real problems actually triggering what I want to happen.
We have unlimited amount of flares, I would like to have them as a method to distract mobs.
It's a pain to find medicine, general availability areas should be noted on the map. Also locating certain types of materials is almost like RNG.
Cover-to-cover indicator should be visible (maybe rework how it shows; light that place a bit as indicator?).
This DLC seems great but i think that this map is huge for 24 players. Please consider increasing the number of players so we can actually get PVP action before going to the Dark Zone.
Hi
My feedback about performance and stability are very positive from 1.4 Now for the first time since the game are launched that it don't seem anymore to have fps droping for a couple second like it always do so far .It's pretty stable and don't stuttering anymore.
I runing windows 10 pro x64 build 14393.477 and 32 GB RAM , I7 and Nvidia GeForce 960 GFX 4 GO .
I tried on the same time the "reducted latence" option and it give a few more better performance.
The only problems are if we want change the desktop screen or doing something extern as the game who make game crashing every time . The other problem are the Xbox One (or any gamepad) who don't work quite every time. (workaround: when in menu after starting the game, just puch the "windows" task on the keyborad and after the windows start menu open , puch the task again and the gamepas will work awithout any problems )
About Survival PvE and PvP solo, i found the balancing pretty good except arrived to the extraction on the DZ. The Boss disapear sometimes and will be very hard to kill while when he's quite dead he come no visible and recharge is energy to come out near me and killing me.
Playing on group with 4 guys on PvE and PvP is a bit too much for the ressource on the Map.. Ennemy don't give enough loots or are not enough for 4 peoples, so it always make 1 or 2 guys without stuff.
With 2 players the loots are good and ennemy enough, same PvE and PvP
Thanks a lot for takeing time of readimg it and hope to can enjoy it very soon.
So i must say that i am really happy with the move from 1.5 and hope that devs will not going on others directions since it's coming endly to have pleasure on playing again The Division

While I like Survival I wonder how fun it's going to be in 2 months. I can see people getting bored with it very quickly.
I do think the map is too big for only 24 people. Every game I've played I've only run into 1 or 2 other people. I have yet to see more than that. If it weren't for the death notices I wouldn't even know if anyone else was in there with me. It would be nice to have a list of the players on the world map. Not their locations but like a list that gets crossed off as they die/leave.
I haven't been able to play it...
1. Didn't recognise my Xbox Controller.
2. When using a keyboard and mouse - brought up my inventory and the screen froze up.
3. When I managed to unfreeze it, the mouse pointer to click marker was WAY out - for example, if I wanted to click on something on the right column, I would have to click on the far left one...
I was playing on a GeForce 1070 @ 1920x1080.
(Problems) Reviving out of the DZ when server or deconnections errors on "Survival" DLC
We have constated that when peoples are disconnected from the server while getting errors (like MIKE,DELTA....ect) that there will revived out of the DZ with all transported stuff.
That's very enoying and can very deadly....
A solution will be to in the case as the players are in the DZ, that there will revive on a safe House or maybe any others safe place to give a chance to continue the mission fairly
