Hey!! This midnight circuit is a great event but here in the facebook TFG group some of the members including me faced very bad problems. Although we ranked on the top 1% of the leaderboard we got very bad rewards. Try solving this please.![]()
top 1% was mentioned that they have incedible change of unigue prizes... I don't call parts as unigue...
3x top1% and all i got is 2 tracks, 1 headhunter head peace and rest 12 prizes were PARTS! but maybe they are unique parts?![]()
I love the event but the rewards are too random. I've been in the top 10% all 3 weeks and the first week was good because I got 2 new Mantis paintjobs, a clothing part and 2 parts. But the last 2 weeks all I've had is parts. People keep talking about new tracks but I've not had 1 and doubt I will in the 4th week. So in all it's a good idea but the rewards distribution isn't working.
The winner of week 2 on android was a Cheater.
Its really bad.
this last week i'm fight against gtdave for the first place.
So One cheater came on your bike super fast and beat us for 2 seconds, or maybe for a half seconds.
I think the redlynx need a way to check the speed of the bikes, if the max is 10, a bike running on 11 must be removed.
The Android Platform has a lot of Cheaters and its no use Monthly foruns if the Cheaters keeps.
The track "Torn Canyon" will be realeased 30 days from now and a lot of Cheaters Already played this track.
Is too much to ask?
The cheaters are becoming a big issue in trying to keep the leaderboards clean.
Its not like its hard to track them. Here is torn canyon leaderboard at the moment - http://trials.bonxy.net/tracks/Torn+Canyon
Again, random prizes given out for events are not the best way. Some top users received some parts, some received tracks. Since people are normally only interested in tracks as thats what lets you climb the leaderboard its kind of disappointing.
i want a skill event, not a pay to win event.
that means no retry via gems or goldentickets. only one or 3 tries per day.
what about that? there is nothing to grind, only skill and luck!
so far i like the midnight circuit, but the randomness is still to random.
if we get paintjobs their we already have, or 3 weeks no new track for a 1% guy is still to random.
kick the cheater in their ***!
cheers

Main issue has always been the randomness of rewards; the fear (justified so far in this event) that you can play the best you can, and not be rewarded for the effort. That you can literally BE THE BEST, and not get track rewards that others far less skillful get.
Randomness itself isnt BAD, really... it can help or hurt you and that can be put to good use in a game...but it needs to be focused properly. Used incorrectly, all it does is generate ill-will towards the game and cause an uproar... and should people not get the tracks they face months of missing them and not be competing on the LBs... which drives players away.
This event should be handling the "give the best 1% riders their reward" up front so that skill ALWAYS means something, and then use randomness to give you cool prizes. So the tier rewards should have been something like this (assuming 4 event weeks and 4 new tracks):
- 1% tier... always gets one new track (and other random stuff as well).
- 10% has a good chance (75-85%?) at getting the 1 new track that round.
- ... less chance the further down you go.
Ergo, you encourage people to play every week (to get that weeks track) and reward the most skilled players and make the top 1% something to fight for. People who "always play every week" and "play well" need to know they will be rewarded. People who play less well... might not get them but probably will get most of them (and had a good chance to get all of them).
Contrast that with the current approach, where some consistently top people still dont have any tracks on the 4th week.. and are wondering why they are playing so hard to be in the top 1% if its not going to count.
The other aspect I think should be improved; NOT ENOUGH TIERS.
Yeah, people are fighting to be in the top 1% (even though they know it might not mean much in rewards)... but the vast majority of your player-base doesnt have a snowballs chance in hell of getting in the top 1%. So if you are a 3-7% player.... why play at all? You arent making the top 1%, and you almost CANT fall out of the top 10%; you have no incentive to play. More tiers means improved chances to get good results, and means the core top 10% ALWAYS have a tier to fight to be within:
1% tier - fine as is; problem.
3% tier - missing.... needs to exist and give high chance of rewards
5% tier - missing .... needs to exist and give very good chance of rewards
10% tier - fine as it is.
Really anyone in the 5-10% range can break the top 5% with a lucky run... you want to encourage that attempt instead of what you are doing now.
Not getting tracks wouldn't be a problem if they just released them right away in the store and not have to wait months and months to get them. Idk why they don't utilize the store. I never check it anymore because its always just crap and might as well use diamonds for other stuff.
Also, anyone missed when the tracks used to be organized by green, yellow and red? I mean I know its easier to put them wherever but I liked the organization of the original tracks.
Xitooner pretty much summed up my opinions. I am a 2-6% player and have only gotten parts I don't need for these three weeks. Moral plunges and it really effects my leaderboard position not having any of the new tracks
Other than that I like the idea of everyone riding on the exact same bike on a brand new track. I don't know if I remember this correctly but is the chosen bike in the event even upgraded the same amount temporarily? If not I think that would make the event even nicer.
Developers please make it possible to get the new tracks directly through some other challenge after the event. I can work for it, just don't cut me out of the competition with randomness!
