    Please.

Mods, Devs, whoever. Please. PLEASE. I beg of you. Give us an in game option to turn off the moving scenery in tracks. I cannot play the game. I just cannot play the game. It's not too much to ask, and many of us have asked for the past 2 years for this simple option. I know it does not affect everyone, but those of us with devices that apparently cannot handle the framerate are stuck dealing with the most infuriating game speed issues you can imagine. In a game like this, it is unacceptable. I am at my wit's end. I have never heard a response from devs on this question that has been posted many, many times in the past.

    Thank you.

Sorry to hear that it's got that bad for you mate !!

I agree with you, it would be a good option to have, But.....I think If they can just stop the game from over-heating our devices then we wouldn't get this speed-up/down issue as it never used to do it when I first started playing but it's slowly getting worse and worse, to the point where I can only play for about 15-20mins at a time before it's unplayable !!

I found out a little while back that if I play outside then I'm able to keep playing for a lot longer as the wind and general lower temperature helps to keep my phone cooler therefore I don't get the speed-up/down problem appear BUT I don't want to have to go outside every time I want to play the game.....No other game does this to my phone and as I said, it never used to do it when I first started playing, so surely this can be fixed for us all !?!?

C'mon Devs this is a MAJOR issue that has been and IS plaguing the game and MANY players for far too long, PLEASE can you fix this ASAP !?!?

yip, i also want a and have requested to get a checkbox in the settings, where we can disable explosions, fire, flying coins, waterfalls etc. it couldn't be difficult to develop a if else inside your engine for the effects.
anywhere in this forum i created a long time ago a thread about "stop performance adjustment".
but no response of the devs.

    cheers

    This. 100 times this.

For most levels my framerate is great, but on some of them the fire and water effects produce a speedup-slowdown effect, which makes the level almost unplayable. There are quite a few threads on the forums about it, but no response from the dev's so far.

I think the game also automatically adjusts the zoom level to compensate for framerate. When you first start the game after a new install, the camera is quite close to the rider. If you have a good phone that can sustain a high framerate then the game learns this and gradually moves the zoom level further out. If the devs just give us the option to control the zoom level in the settings that would also help a lot, as a phone that suffers from framerate drops on some levels could zoom in further while on that level to compensate.

All visual effects influence the gameplay. These can take the view, frighten, or divert you from the track line (by the explosive pressure, turning wheels).
Someone who has switched off these effects has an advantage over those who have switched them on. Therefore there will never be such an option.
Reducing the level of details in general could be a solution (Explosions have a very fine resolution). Or better, fixing the cause (and not fight against the effects).

    This ^^^

Some tracks (wood switch city) use explosions to propel you, turning it off means you're playing a different track than everyone else.

Some tracks have a spinning wheel which spins the opposite direction than you are traveling, turning it off means your playing an easier track than everyone else.

There's at least one track whose name I can't remember which requires an explosion to boost you to the next platform, this track couldn't be completed without the explosion.

The problem isn't the game, it's that your device isn't capable of playing the game properly.

Well said mate and I agree.....It would be better for them to actually FIX the cause, as it used to run just fine a while ago, so there's no reason why it can't run fine again !!

guys, i mean the visiual part of an explosion not the physical part. everybody know computer games and their have all settings. like resolution or antialiasing or framerate chooser. something like that for our app.

    cheers

Have you tried clearing your memory? I have a lot of extra background crap going on since my phone is Jailbroken and I find clearing my memory helps with the game speed. I also have a battery app that tells me the temp of the battery and I usually see it between 31-33 degrees +/- after playing the game... which is not critical. I have an Otter Box Defender case over it too. I don't have this problem like you do but I thought I could offer a suggestion.

Well, you may be right to an extent, but I was talking about irrelevant moving stuff, such as fire that is WELL below the level, or the silly coin animation every time you pass a checkpoint. Obviously I didn't mean parts of the track that the bike rides on. Also, it WOULDN'T be unfair to other riders, because everyone would have the option to turn them on/off.

Did you know there are tracks with burning fire that is so far below that you never even see it unless you fall into the pit?

Yeah I've tried everything on my end with the phone, safe from getting a new one.

I know this post is just another stab in the dark but I have to try. I never even get dev responses on this one.
