Thanks very much for all the responses so far everyone, there is a lot of good info here!I'll summarise the pros and cons we've had up until now:
Donkey
Pros:
- The "best" bike of the three
- Has most relevance for progressing the game
Cons:
- Joint highest Donut cost - 108
- Highest coin cost - 4,716,750
- Will see bunker and slot machine while stock/upgrading
- Tricky to master
Stallion
Pros:
- Joint lowest coin cost - 3,197,350
- Does not see bunker and slot machine while stock/upgrading
- Allows new routes on old tracks
Cons:
- Joint highest Donut cost - 108
- Only relevant for the crazy bike LB
- Unique gameplay style is an acquired taste
Agent
Pros:
- Joint lowest coin cost - 3,197,350
- Lowest Donut cost - 40
- Does not see bunker and slot machine while stock/upgrading
- Easier to learn than other two bikes
Cons:
- Offers nothing unique
- Only relevant for the crazy bike LB
- Requires 16 Tier 5 parts and 36 Tier 4 parts
There is something I'd like to make sure of though, if I build any one of them, will the Donuts start appearing as prizes? I'm pretty sure they would if I built the Donkey, but I'm not 100% sure about the other two.
I think yes. I started with the Agent before I even had any of the blueprints for the other two, and the donuts were appearing. Got 217 of them piled up now.Originally Posted by UraniumSnail Go to original post
Excellent summary of the pros and cons of the three bikes by the way. I think that should be stickied somewhere![]()
Donuts keep coming as long as you have at least 1 upgrade left on any of the 3 bikes (bike must be in process of being built). There is something I'd like to make sure of though, if I build any one of them, will the Donuts start appearing as prizes? Some people have used this to upgrade 2 of the bikes to 10/10/10/10, and left the 3rd bike at 10/10/10/9, just to stockpile donuts for future bikes.
Very true. I'll add to that to say leaving the donkey handling at 9 as it won't make a lot of difference (as well as making the bike less difficult to handle).Originally Posted by xitooner Go to original post
Additionally, all 3 bikes can be used on every track too. The Donkey is pretty much a more suitable/flexible bike for any track than the other 2 bikes, even on some of the hard tracks, so it's flexibility is better and range of completion amongst every track is almost 100%, and when maxed out, the Donkey is one of the best bikes in terms of stats compared to any bike in the game, and it's stats are similar to an agile bike and it needs to be as well, but it isn't classed as an Agile bike, but it isn't, it's just the Donkey.
But the Agent's limited agility and pure speed is only based on simple tracks where agility isn't needed and there will be tracks where the Agent won't be useful for that particular track and sometimes you can't complete it, but the range and flexibility isn't terrible though. However, it is easily the fastest bike in the game, and you've gathered that it is a Speed bike (and the fact that it is the Agent bike which is used in Week 3 in the event as well, how's that for timing!), but it's like a typical Speed bike.
The Stallion is slightly more suitable but has an acquired taste and is also tricky to master (the jump ability included), and can be tricky to use on some tracks but can be used appropriately and is more suitable on more tracks than the Agent, but not as much as the Donkey, and the Stallion is surprisingly quick, and the stats are good on that bike too, however I would consider it an unpopular bike too, but it can be useful on some tracks where the 'jump' ability can prove even more useful on some tracks then any other bike.
Not to forget that the Donkey has it's own leaderboard, while the other 2 bikes share the Crazy Bikes leaderboard. And when upgrading the Donkey or whatever bike it is, keep the upgrades level as well like 4/4/4/4 or 7/7/7/7, keep it balanced while your upgrading it. If you do all 4 upgrades at a time that's fine, but if you do 1 upgrade, go for acceleration first, so for example: you have a 8/8/8/8 bike, then an upgrade on acceleration would make it 8/9/8/8, then Top Speed, that will make it 8/9/8/9, then Grip to 8/9/9/9, then Lean will make it 9/9/9/9, as an example of course, but again that's up to you.
And just like the others said, keep the stats of 1 bike at 9/10/10/10, whenever you should need any more Donkey Donuts for any more special bikes if another bike which requires DDs comes along.
Cheers.![]()
Thanks again for the thoughts everyone
With the recent MC event giving me Agent and Donkey blueprints as prizes I now only need one Agent blueprint piece to complete the bike. Interestingly, that has meant that four of the five Agent blueprints from the bunker have changed into Donuts. I knew that it would happen if I had built the bike, but I didn't realise the game would work it out before it has actually been built. So this means I should have 9 Donuts when the season ends, which I need to factor into my decision.
I've still not decided, but I think I'm now leaning towards the Agent first, then the Donkey, then the Stallion. From playing it in the current MC event it seems ok, and I can upgrade it to 9/10/10/10 much more quickly than with the other bikes, then stockpile Donuts before building the Donkey. Not sure though!
I really like this idea! Since neither the Agent nor the Stallion see the bunker or the slot machine then I could actually build both and upgrade neither of them.Originally Posted by ciscodalicious Go to original post
