*Warning* slight rant of a mediocre wannabee ninja.
I don't understand why people design ninja tracks that only the top hundreds (or less) of players can complete. I'm alright at trials, have platinum'd most tracks, can do ninja tricks but nowhere near the consistency of top players. So I struggle on the tracks that have 3 or 4 obstacles between checkpoints. The way I see it, the better players are going to get top of leaderboard regardless with 0 faults, by making such difficult tracks it isolates the majority of players. I understand the odd track which gives guys a chance to prove how good they are but it seems like half and half split. I realise other factors would make this negligible, if the difficulty rating were more accurate etc I could filter hard ninja but find majority of them are tagged as extreme.
Just to pre-empt, yes I am jealous of how good these guys are, throttle control and consistency is crazy, love watching the leaderboard vids.
I don't think you truly understand what is the ninja difficulty.
Ninja = harder than extreme.
There should not be a thing such as Ninja tracks tagged as "Medium" or "Hard" tracks.
And struggling on a ninja track is only natural. You're just following the steps of the top players, who also struggled on level 1's when they started.
Also what do you mean when you say you don't understand why people build ninja tracks that the top 100s of players can complete ?

You have speedrunners who are the most efficient at getting through levels quickly, they may also do ninja tracks but I don't think it's guaranteed. I know you know what I mean seeing as I see you've done some youtube tutorials on ninja tricks. You can have levels where you need to get the maximum distance possible or the perfect angle in order to climb an incline but I wouldn't call them 'ninja' unless the techniques requiring 'ninja physics' are required. I don't see as many as I used to on evo like the railings that you can speed along whilst hanging from back wheel or boucing off ramps to land in wheelie and reverse up an incline etc.
What I mean in terms of tracks only specific players can complete (it's often less than hundreds) is like in previous post mentioned, tracks with several difficult obstacles in a row without checkpoints requiring the highest level of consistency to complete. I can work at difficult obstacles and eventually overcome them and be proud, but no matter how long I try I won't be able to do 3 or 4 in a row.
www.ninja-central.com filter by level 1-2 for low level ninja tracks.![]()
