Siege is not where Ubisoft has set the bar. Siege is where Ubisoft fails to meet it.
The bar was set over a decade ago, and it's a tall order. To be fair the bar is extremely high, and the expectations are sometimes unfairly higher.
However, at least attempting to reach the high point for the Rainbow Six series is admirable, but with Siege there is no attempt.
The feckless, corrupt, and morally bankrupt Ubisoft has turned their backs on fans. They say they know what fans want, but do not listen to what fans are saying:
Netcode
Hit Detection
Kicking
Hacking
Imbalances
Kill Cams
These aren't bugs!
I haven't started on the bugs.
These are extremely flawed systems that need a lot of attention, yet a year passes by these high priority problems, and we still have them.
So many forum threads discuss the need for these same issues to be fixed dating back to the very beginning, yet here we are!
Folks this is a pattern of poor behavior by Ubisoft. This isn't just Siege either. The Division is in a bad way too.
The best thing for us to do is light a fire under Ubisoft to get them to come to terms that this is unacceptable.
Don't enable them. If you love Rainbow Six, if you love Ubisoft tell them to get their act together! Don't defend, and deflect for them! They will continue down the road to failure if you are willing to accept their wrongs as the norm.
They need to turn this around, or the next games will be worse, and worse. There won't be any Rainbow Six games if Ubisoft tanks, and tank they will because they are following a disturbing pattern of incompetence, arrogance, and greed.
Moral bankruptcy leads to real bankruptcy.
I suggest everyone keep a watchful I on Wildlands, because it's pretty much doomed to fail already...sorry to say.
yeah, i'm saddened to see R6 fall, i was oddly disappointed after Rogue Spear, whjen ubisoft took over, i was like "hmm?", and an otherwise perfect game but aggravated by the R63 grenade and ladder bugs, i'd never played a R6 with bugs before, and honestly just felt empathetic for people reporting while playing they have either bug, then i had it happen to me, it ruined my entire match... they took a perfectly good franchise and started tinkering with it, as if Red Storm wouldn't have made, then, next gen games with FPS weapons in view... smh.
Wildlands is a Ghost Recon Poser, resembling Far Cry so much that even if the bugs and glitches are completely absent, i'm sure the gameplay will be watered down garbage and no longer will it be about strategy and cooperation, it will be about Michael Bay Explosions, boring trips to and from locations, and mind-tricks to make CoD fans think it's the best thing they've ever played... pretty much a MORPG. i seen the slide in Future Soldier, and while it was interesting in Campaign, doing some of the things you were able to do like mark 3 targets and see your squadmates' trajectories, then give the go order... it was more show than substance, and Wildlands isn't even as technologically advanced, i bet the quad bikes are supposed to be filler and there is no action or opportunity in between locations.
Dont you think you are going a bit overboard with this? Ubisoft has been making very poor games for a while now, siege was a breath of fresh air, shure the game may not be perfect, but it's rather good and the problems are not as glarying. The try to take cear of the balancing issiues every parth and the bugs but you cant have everything
Don't even bother this is becoming a weekly thing with Mystic. If you do not agree with him (or her don't want to assume) then you are a shill supporting corporate greed who is clearly being paid by Ubisoft. 14 started threads talking about the corruption and moral bankruptcy of the devs, mods, company, and basically anyone who thinks the game is fine. Not to mention the countless posts on the same idea of money-grabbing corruption and the microtransaction apocalypse that has befallen the poor sheep who play this game. I play R6 Siege most days of the week and it is my favorite game right now. I absolutely have run into issues of hitreg on occasion, TK or VTK abuse on occasion, and wonky kill cams on occasion but nothing about this game is anywhere near as dire as he makes it out to be.
People who like the game will continue to like it and those who do not will not. Simple as that.
Scottson, you've been playing since the Orignal R6, yet you disagree that Ubisoft and EA, IW/Activision have been pumping out games either lacking in creativity, or in Ubi's case, Quality?
The last good Ubisoft game i bought and played was Splinter Cell Blacklist, and while the previous Splinter Cell was a shell of a SC, it paved the way due to quick thinking by Maxime' Beland after taking over for Mathieu Ferland, and added a really nice cover and vault system. For a 3rd person shooter that is totally along the lines of helpful Tactical Realism, as a Govt. Operative would be grabbing cover in Tactical Espionage, and also gives the player a feeling of control.
Blacklist was pretty amazing, i highly recommend picking up a copy if you haven't already. Very true to its roots and has a bit of next-gen flair to it as well. Though it still isn't 100% what SC fans wanted, it is a worthwhile title in the franchise, and Chaos Theory 2.0 should be coming next if Ubisoft fares well with games like Wildlands for the new playerbase (any old-school GR fan isn't going to take the bait), and Steep looks very interesting i will pick it up around XMAS, not for the sale but i'm getting a new PC around then and i will have USB slots again because my nephew broke 2 of them in the front tripping over a controller... the other 2 ports are occupied by SS USB's.
Are you calling us liars and coward because we like a game?Originally Posted by MysticIXINinja Go to original post

Haha spot on Danh basically sums it up nicely.
Mystic: Really? Strip off our dignity in servitude to Ubisoft? You're off the deep end mate. From someone who does not play the game and whose sole participation in the community is writing baseless and useless critique posts your opinion (and I emphasize that word because for some reason you think the nonsense you spout is fact) really means zero. How is recognizing that issues exist and that they're being worked on but still enjoying the game not telling the truth? Troll to the extreme.
