Thank you all for continuing to come to this thread and share support for this idea. I'll forward the latest comments.
I hope that you're all staying healthy and safe.
Ubisoft - this thread is over three years old.
In that time hundreds of thousands of your customers have spent countless hours violently waving a glass brick worth hundreds of dollars around their heads, next to friends and children and expensive TVs. That this is an obvious safety hazard is without question.
Using a watch as the sensor - a much smaller device that does not depend on grip strength not to cause harm to your friends or furnishings, would obviously be much safer to use instead of a phone.
Removing the need to focus on not losing your grip, not touching the screen, and adding in heart monitoring would all make using the watch a much better experience for the players.
Its been 3 years, isn't it long past time to add a damn safety belt in the form of a band to this sensor you have us violently waving around!?? Do it for the safety of the kids and our expensive phones and TV's!

Great, great, great idea, the poster. What's taking so long Ubisoft? My 7 year old daughter is asking me why she has to hold a cumbersome joy-con, phone, or attach a cheap useless wristband which are all unnatural with her Nintendo Switch & Smart TV combo. I shouldn't have to size up a Kinect when Ubisoft have a guaranteed way of helping the Just Dance freaks. Yes, I'd buy an Apple Watch just so my daughter can play this amazing activity which has the one huge flaw. The answer is there, and will drive mutual sales. Perfect synchronicity: Apple Watch supports Just Dance.
Do it!!!! Please!! Don't let us down, Well done again the thread poster for a great idea..
Axel1968472 - I will pass your feedback on to the team.
I don't want to be waving my phone around, potentially flinging it into the wall.
Insta buy if you guys get this working... probably less than a man month from design to publishing.
Come On Ubi!!
Make controller available for smartwatches!!!![]()
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, AmazingRuss and Chkatrisios! We'll pass this feedback on.
If Apple Watch Support is to be added into the game, this information will be shared on our official webpages and within the forums, so please keep an eye out in these places for any future news or updates. Thanks!
Holding a 1000§ smartphone in your sweaty hand is such a bad idea. Seriously! Why is this the only option for motion tracking still? The activity is DANGEROUS for both the phone and for any onlookers. All while an obvious alternative is available. So what is the problem? I do NOT feel comfortable letting my kids try to hold my way too expensive phone while swinging it wildly around. Yet, it is the only option to play the game
Good motion tracking from apple watch has been available now for a very long time and is an obvious choice for tracking movements. Also, this thread is very old now, and there has been multiple replies that it has been noted by Ubisoft. Yet, nothing has happened. I am mystified of the reason why Ubisoft insist on not supporting the watch as motion tracker. Could you elaborate on why this has not been prioritised?
The game is both much less enjoyable and much more expensive when it involves throwing phones around.![]()

These are decisions for the game team at their discretion, at the moment we don't have any further updates as to whether this is something upcoming in future, however as noted, if this does become a feature it will be announced on the game's channels and website.
We do understand that this is a very sought after feature for players and do relay feedback and suggestions onto the team
If there's anything else we can help with please let us know
