    Weapons in 1.4

    Its my last chance to play before Wednesday so i was wondering what weapons are viable in 1.4?

    I know there will be arguments on which will be better like damage vs usability (accuracy/stability) but im confused with all the nerfs and buffs as to which weapons in each catagory are worth farming pre-1.4

    So what, in your opinions, are best 2 weapons in each class?

    Probably aimed most aimed at pts users eho have experienced them.

    From my experience the weapons that were the strongest before 1.4 are still the strongest post 1.4. (i.e. M44, M1A1) It's just that all other weapons have been brought closer.

    ARs looks like they'll be in good shape right now. No nerfs except the G36 to the base damage (though AD has been toned down a bit). This probably goes back to their pre 1.3 announcement that they wanted to do something about PVP damage for ARs too.

    All weapons are fine. I do not find that any weapon is so broken or underpowered.

    It was MG6 or how it is called, but it was in week 2? and not intended for live game and it was removed lately.

    AR for PvP are not too usefull as they have enemy armor damage bonus which do nothing. SMG with CHD or LMG with out of cover bonus damage are better options than AR.

    Sigh...another nerf to the G36....hey if you want realism make the G36 jam once in a while. And the large nerf to the M1A....sucks. I hope you increased head shot damage.

    So far I didn't notice changes between w4 patch and 1.4 release. So the above average guns are M60 LMG, SRS MMR, ACR AR, SASG12 shotgun, M1911 pistol.
    SMG are not a good choice in PvE, because low headshot bonus and lower CHC (mod nerf) so the CHD bonus doesn't help much.

    About talents : predatory is OK for self healing but the other two are not good (self preserved is bad), I'll still go for brutal, destructive (in PvE)

    The way I see it, with the weapon nerfs is that they funnel the real nerfed guns into certain sets to get them back to 1.3 combat power. Look at G36, -5% dmg nerf. Predators gives 8% AR dmg buff so that's an actual 3% dmg gain. Or alpha bridge leaves G36 in same place in 1.3 because of +5% weapon dmg. That's just one example, most of the weapon nerfs can be built around to get back to the 1.3 combat power. However I see nothing that will save the M1A, so RIP M1A....

    so is Black Market AK74 good/viable now ???
    because my fave weapon on real life is AK-74M

    Hey, there are a lot of weapons that are more viable now and another factor you will need to take into account is the way they handle and how accurate they are. With the change to mods, it's much harder to reach the same level of stability and accuracy that existed before without sacrificing other stats.

    You can go with a weapon that has a bit less damage but is easier control, or you can go with one that does more damage but requires much more effort to accurately aim. We've tried to bring back more choice to the game and let you decide based on your preference.
