    UG in 1.4 Thought

    So I was sitting here just thinking about 1.4 and the things that are changing, and for some reason the UG popped in my head.

    I know there are certain people that are upset by Heroic being removed from the game, and I can understand that if that's why they play. Some people really like to be challenged and will even deal with a challenge that includes bugs that can affect your gaming.

    I've also seen people tell these UG Heroic Mulitphase multi-directive( I'm only kidding, but I had to say it) players to get purple gear and go to world tier 4 Challenge UG, only to be shot down.

    Here are my thoughts, and I'm really only thinking out loud, so to speak. Why can't these players go to World Tier 2, get some really good gear from that bracket, especially since it it level 31 NPC, and then go to World Tier 4 and play UG on challenge with the level 33 NPC? Technically they are two levels above you and the feeling should be similar.

    Am I over thinking it? I guess I'm just bored lol.

    Truthfully Heroic UG wasn't even that tough it was just boring and time consuming. The hardest part of the content was finding a "certain" group make up. Once you had the right 4 builds it was a breeze.

    With the new.patch shifting the focus towards the solo player including content that is solely locked behind the ability to find or have the right players doesn't fit with the ethos.

    I never liked UG on any difficulty after first few runs but I carried on run HC for loot. The only issue with this is that the gear you need to run HC is dropped from HC. The shift in the loot tables/drops means most won't be going UG for loot so your options for groups is even more limited than before

    This would be similar to say Manchester United player chopping off their left feet and playing against Hereford Town.

    In other words, pointless.

    Ok, but can you explain why it would be pointless?
    If all they are looking for is a challenge on par with Heroic, with good rewards, wouldn't that accomplish it?

    Spongy enemies isn't challenging it's boring, and goes against everything the developers built in 1.4. If we go back to spongy enemies, PTS and 1.4 would have been useless.

    Honestly if you want a more challenging game give proper feedback with great ideas, instead of boring old ones that didn't work in the first place.

    Higher damage (from enemies) and higher spawn quantity would be more fun and challenging than anything spongy related.

    It's boring to you, and I get that. I don't enjoy it either. But neither you or I speak for the Division game play community. Which is why I gave the suggestion.

    Why is it that feedback is not considered constructive if you don't agree with it? I don't even play UG that much, but that doesn't mean anything. I merely played out a scenario in my head for the few that really enjoyed playing at that level.

    Those who defend Heroic say they want a challenging game, yet they fail to provide feedback to make the game challenging and fun for everyone, and instead want a rollback to 1.3.

    Spongy enemies compromise on the fun factor and was one of the main reasons The Division player base kept decreasing, and after all the feedback and changes in 1.4 to remove them and bring back players, last thing most of us want is a rollback.

    If the developers make a special build and/or option for spongy enemies without affecting us then it's not a problem. Problem starts when the developers want to find middle ground instead of giving us options, making it difficult for us to accept spongy enemies feedback.

    Heroic wasn't even supposed to be on 1.4, the Heroic difficulty is nothing more than Challenging renamed. In my opinion they should rename Challenging to Hard and Heroic to Challenging like it was intended since the beginning and add another proper layer for Heroic.

    You guys can blame the difficulty renames and current Heroic situation on the guys that were complaining Heroic was gone during PTS and failed to provide feedback for a new Heroic meta that would please current Heroic players.

    It's really not unheard off what you are proposing. Sometimes in other games people (I'm guilty at times) try some absurdly difficult combination just because.

    The problem as I see in your idea is mainly twofold. Firstly, you'd be testing yourself against no reward at all. Doing something just because, yeah, it's fun, but not really viable in the long run. And second, your runs would be mostly solo, which is something not everyone enjoys.

    I will miss HC and I wager many more will in a few weeks. You'll steamroll content, get all the gear and have nothing left to do. If they simply changed 1.4 to retaining HCs which would drop the same quality of loot as Challenging just in more quantity I think everyone but the most selfish and frankly thick could be happy. And it'd cost them nothing.

    I will of course attempt weird world tier combinations, just like I have tried some absurd stuff in the past. But I should hope that devs deliver for those who want a harder challenge in the future too.

    Your talking of only reward for beating missions and not gear reward then, trying to get better gear even when you got better gear is still something to do, since best gear was at higher levels it made sense, game did not scale from 1 player to 4 which never made sense and was an error on missives part, who knows how 1.4 will really work out, gotta let it drop and play the final 1.4 to see.

    I have asked you this before and you just ramble on about spongy enemies and falling asleep playing heroic UG lol, but I will ask you again why do you want heroic done away with? If it's that boring to you why do you play it, if other's play it why do you want it taken away from them? I still stand by my opinion of you, that it hurts your ego that there is something in the game that is too hard for you.
