The game is again swarming with hackers and cheaters. Every day im encountering people thats hacking.
And im not talking about the usual aimbot toggling that so many use (also sad), Im talking about the shooting through buildings, rpm, aimbot and teleport hackers.
I report them and then I search their name up on twitch/youtube etc. There I find videoclips of the same player that I just reported, some of the vidoes are 10+ days old.
It takes about a week for ubisoft to reply on my cheaterreport. After I get the reply I still meet the same people teleporting and shooting through buildings, the names are identical.
This just proves to me that they're not taking this issue seriously. Maybe its a question about resources, I dont know. But when people provide videoproof it should not be a hard case to ban someone. Its not like you have to bring the case to court.
Few months ago the game was also swarming with cheaters. This led to most of my friends leaving the game. Now we are pretty much back to where we started on PC with the amount of cheaters. Seems like ubi/massive dont learn from the mistakes.
Please do something about this and give legit players a reason to play this game.
Nasty
With PVE content finally rebalanced on 1.4 cheating won't be much of a problem to most of us.
This of course is no excuse to ignore the cheaters, currently The Division has no anti-cheat system whatsoever, bans are manual and based on reports, it takes ages and is ineffective.
There have been some improvements with server side checks, problem is it only detects the most basic cheating tools. If the developers are really concerned about cheating they should add an Anti-Cheat system to the game.
There have been some improvements on how we report players with 1.4, but in my opinion that will hardly change a thing.
We should be able to post it right here if we have video, the name and shame BS has to go, I just left same for cheaters I dealt with 2 weeks ago in DZ, in lower level DZ gear wont help against out of level geared people, doesn't matter if 1,000 pieces drop cause its at the level and their gear isn't.Originally Posted by RC-Nastygoateh Go to original post
Just seen a post about some that was reported with a YT video where he is bragging about how long he has bean hacking with out being banned. Guess what, he STILL was not banned and his nick was all over YT.
As I said in that thread, I have given up on reporting and doing the job we paid them too do. Guess they forgot that glitching and hacking was a big part of why people quit this game before. The new report system in 1.4 is a flipping joke if video of some one bragging about how long they have bean doing it is not enough to get them banned.
Just another thing SOME ONE said they would do
1st = Warning
2nd = banned
Anyone else remember SOME ONE asking us too report glitchers / hackers ? Its too the point AGAIN that YT has dedicated channels to Division hackers AGAIN.
Totally agree, I dont see why these people are shouded with a veil of secrecy and protection. Provided there is evidence to corroborate the accusation, name and shame the scumbags.
Massive claim to listen to the players on these boards, well listen here and listen hard.
It makes no odds to me, im very rarely pvp, but for the players that want to, they should be able to do so knowing that the opponent is fighting fair.
Well as fair as it can be that is, 4v1, ganks etc excluded.
When I think about it, the hacking and cheating seem's to be a big problem in the DZ. I say "seem's" because I never go there to see for myself as a solo player because of its reputation, which is a shame really, because it would add to the content that is sorely lacking in this game.
Having said that, if they (Massive/Ubisoft) got their act together on this problem, the DZ would probably turn into a ghost town for a while, until the honest players realized a big problem has gone that is.
We can only hope they're taking care of it, after all they stressed it a few months back when it was really rampant. I haven't played in a month and a half and before that only saw people shooting from behind walls, and that was only a couple times.Originally Posted by RC-Nastygoateh Go to original post
Keep submitting the cheating reports and keep your fingers crossed. Maybe one of the mods will see this and act on it.
Practically, the so called "naming and shaming" in a forum does nothing but incite flame wars; it doesn't solve anything; it is not going to remove said player from the game (no one here has the power to do so), nor (in many occasions) prove said player is cheating.Originally Posted by Div_GreenDevil Go to original post
The sad reality is, cheating in the DZ is not going to go away... it will always be there. It may subside now and again when Massive decides to do token, non-permanent bans, but it will not go away for 2 simple reasons:
1. The game's architecture makes it extremely easy to hack.
2. There is no active monitoring / in-game support.
