I'm a Heroic UG, multi directives player that's only rank 37 in the underground. With Heroic UG ending in a few more days, I find myself running out of time. I decided to give up my Heroic sessions for the time being due to sheer exhaustion and time running out. I am now playing Hard Mode with 5 directives, 3 phase, It gives me 6000 XP points, nearly the same as Heroic with 2 directives. Its nice to know your team will not die and fail. But the session is not too boring either, I played with some low ranks and had a few close calls. Consider me a Heroic Multi Directives player enjoying my retirement. Hard Mode 5 directives 3 phase will allow me to finish and earn my BLIND outfit. Ive played Heroic since the very beginning since I was able to unlock it. but I'm running out of time, I'm finding so many Heroic players making a lot of mistakes in session, cause I suspect they are rushed and stressed to wrap it up as well and its just not worth it anymore if players aren't at their best
Looking forward to relaxing fun times in 1.4. And when the game gets difficult again and demands hardcore play with new world tiers, Ill be ready.
Wow.
Biggest humble brag yet. Well done.
How are you only 37, you said all you play is heroic, you've been going on for weeks about all the heroic you do, and how not having it was the worst thing ever? I'm at that and i play normal and haven't touched it in weeks.
Hopefully you'll survive the great 1.4 tragedy you see coming. Maybe your care giver can pull you away from your x-box and the forums and get you some vitamin d from the sun.
LOL ! I only play a few hours a day. I consider myself hardcore cause over labor day weekend, I did 18 straight hours nonstop of TD gameplay with sandwich and bathroom breaks, so I am time invested when I can and I am very passionate about the Division and want to plan on sticking thru Last Stand.Originally Posted by snafup Go to original post
We did some yard work today to prepare for winter, someone did comment that my skin was pale. lol
There is tragically a high fail rate on Heroic UG cause I do it with randoms and not with an established team, About every 4th game I win, A bad team will go down in the first quarter so its not much time wasted. I don't consider everyone to be bad individually but just the synergy and gear set ups within a random team, Some have it, some don't.
The longest fail stretch Ive had was 12 sessions, no win, Recently I went on a 8 session fail stretch and was very tired and disappointed. Hence you can understand why its taking me a long time. ( I also simultaneously have three other alts I'm ranking up as well ) Some days I take breaks and just run Lexington and Incursions. I like completing Heroic Dragons Nest full session with my Tactiican, WIth UG I use my Deadeye set.
Yes, we try and make sure that skill and DPS and toughness is established within a team along with the specialized gear sets but still many times it doesn't work out, Heroic can be unforgiving. Every fail session is due to neglectful player error, I don't mind lost sessions cause I can review the mistakes we made in my head and strategize for next time.
Now you're "hardcore"!!!!! Oh man, I can't contain myself!!! You have a high opinion of yourself and a rather low one for the 99 percent of us that got 1.4 (your other post you called us "casuals and solo's". Oh well, comic relief I guess. See you in 1.4!!!!Originally Posted by IKILLAUNOW03 Go to original post
Ok ! Meanwhile, I feel kinda like limp noodle after playing Hard mode all day. It must be the adrenaline and tension that Heroic gives me and I think Ill matchmaking for it this weekend, I'm missing it that much, Call me a sadist but nothing compares to the feeling at the succesful end of grueling session , I used to hike mountains in Colorado. Its like reaching the top .Originally Posted by Force58 Go to original post
I sound a little uppity cause I'm upset, I get good at something and it gets taken away. Every talent and gear set I rely on is getting nerfed. But in long term, I'm happy for everyone that 1.4 will reach a broader audience. I do wish all the success for Massive, even if the future leaves out hardcore players like me. Its all about money in the end and obviously they have to cater to a broader , not niche audience
Theres been rumors of higher tiers added on in the future and I'm willing to wait.
Basically they kicked out the smart cover crutch that so many have come to rely on.
1.3 was only ever as extreme as it was because of the M1A, smart cover, pulse, sentry and 75% mitigation. That 5 piece cocktail right there enabled us to concoct head shots in excess of 10 million hit points. So NPC's had to be constructed with that in mind.
That little mixture has now been hit out of the park in order to bring back a semblance of balance to procedings.
Dont feel bad, lets just hope we can all find enjoyment in the relaunch on Tuesday.
I was doing 3 phase hard with 5 directives. Got to the point where the randoms where fed up of verbally abusing me so just resorted to booting me. Then the heroic randoms got in the verbal abuse train because I wouldn't go up stairs, buy cheap gear, roll it into FA and Electronics and bypass the sickness. Had to change my game tag in the end. The last straw was someone calling me A lazy SOAB. Bit of a hypocrite really considering who was doing the cheating.
Still, I'm back doing Heroic with a new game tag and getting friends requests galore. Only need to complete lvl 29 on my 2nd toon then I'm done until Tuesday.
Forgive my ignorance OP, but why do you have to reach 40 before 1.4 drops? But it is great to see you finding alternative ways to enjoy the game.
Voronja, I don't understand your post at all. Why were the ransoms verbally abusing you? And why would rolling FA and Ele help bypass the sickness? And what cheating were they doing.
Maybe I just need to make some coffee.
Hard 3P 5D running Tac with immuniser and pulse. Was able to alt between pulse and immuniser no prob. Throw a bag in the middle of the room. Stay in the green glow of goodness and shoot everything that moves. No need for cover just a very good aim then move on the next room.
Apparently, I think this is BS btw. If you go into a mission from the platform in TOC with the lowest health/toughness possible whilst using sickness, your health doesn't go down a quick. Now for the why I think it's BS because as soon as you put your gear back on, on the other side the sickness taken hold just as quick. But it's not all that quick anyway. And overheal soon sort you out when you start hearing your heart pounding in your ears.
That you can change gear to minimize the sickness debuff is a bug and going to be fixed.
It makes no sense to make lvl40 in UG now, especially when you are close to 40, because the required XP for UG ranks is lowered with 1.4. It is totally possible that you are already 40 when 1.4 hits just by the adjustment of xp requirements.
