I hear there is still going to be a shotgun that can 1 shot with 3 piece hunter's faith 3 piece sentry... can anyone confirm if this is still a problem post week 4 of PTS?
As far as I have gathered shotgun range and damage have been nerfed to some degree, but is it enough? If I have to empty 2 full clips with mag extensions doubling my bullets into someone with a DPS of 360K on average using an assault rifle, and there is a shotgun that can take me out with 3 or less shots without the usage of 1 full clip, something is still severely wrong with the game balancing still.
I suggest a full clip should be used by shotgun to down anyone. If they are still the go to gun in the DZ the skills necessary to pwn the DZ are being curtailed by this obvious go to gun, one that in 1.3 is severely OP.
Yes. Especially accuracy built Super 90s with extra accuracy from Alphabridge
But all of the other guns can outperform it at range.
Only thing that's missing is a Rogue system that allows you to proactively defend yourself and not wait for a shotgunner to get close.
With the build you said people can one shoot you with m870 in the head only if you have low toughness or/and using temporary damage boosts from skills and agent/weapon talents like tactical advance, booster shot, unforgiving, etc on top of high firearms. It's not like everyone can easily do it without big trade-offs.
believe me that dz should be divided into two parts, one for those who enjoy PvE and one for PVP, where PVP should be controlled as the type of weapon and equipment to be used, which in this way you would benefit the most skilled player and not how they are doing.Originally Posted by Killuminati133 Go to original post

Hey, it's important to keep in mind that guns have there relative strengths and weaknesses. An assault rifle may not be as powerful when you compare bullet to bullet, but it has a huge range advantage. For a shotgun to be effective, you really need to be on top of someone and have excellent aim.
We will continue to monitor the way things progress with Update 1.4. We have brought back a lot of other guns into the spotlight, and will make adjustments if needed. We are happy with where things landed, but we also need to see how the meta develops after you've had the chance to play around with it!

I'm totally for powerful shotguns but this is an incredible lieOriginally Posted by Ubi-gabelikes Go to original post
shotguns require no skill if you use a controller thanks to the disgusting auto aim
what's the point on working 2 months on a patch if you ignore something like that?
I don't know what version of the game you're playing but this is patently untrue in my experience on PS4. I prefer to game on console to avoid hackers even though I do have a gaming rig that can stand up to full performance specs, but across all platforms I continue to hear the lamentations of many non-shotgun players getting worked by people with shotguns, the range on them is incredible - much too far by NPCs as well as PvPers in 1.3, so without a 50% range reduction (I'm not kidding) and say a 40% power reduction people are still going to find ways to make this gun the go to gun, and isn't that what you guys are trying to avoid? As for aim, they have a spray mode from what I can tell so hitting shots isn't hard at all, at close range (which is usually what happens in PvP) it is severely OP'd.Originally Posted by Ubi-gabelikes Go to original post
I understand having a gun like a shotgun being more effective at short range, but it's just too much power as it stands (read ridiculous, the DZ is unplayable without a serious nerf on them). It's like oldspice decided to concentrated the volatile salts of a Vulcan God's semen that was meant to birth a new universe brought into a nuclear canon that is said to be a shotgun ridiculous.

For some reason though it seems like you speak with confidence that this has been looked into, so can you give me some stats and tell me that range and damage have been nerfed on shotguns, and if so, by what percentage?
Thanks for responding!

LOL @ people still crying about shotguns. If you don't like them, back up about 20meters and get out of my face! Learn how to use cover while you're at it! This is a cover-run shooter game. Get used to it.
Go play paintball or something and learn the basics in a real world scenario. lol

True 1337 gamers will use every gun, and I will use a shotgun sometimes, but with it stacked on sentry or other builds where it is severly OP'd just makes for a broken game.
I bet you listen to nickleback whilst chugging pleb soda laughing at all the kills you rack up with your shotgun and think you're actually a decent player, I'm sure in the real world if I bapped you with an assault rifle with 3 rounds you'd also go down... you're not 50 cent, go home noob lol
