I don't see this game being surpassed in pure realism. I'm sure you won't find another game on the market where the cockpits are fully functional. The game is called 'Digital Combat Simulator'. You literally have to study the manual to each and every plane and chopper to know what every single screen and button is for. I just recently came across this game on Youtube. Apparently you have to buy the planes and choppers, which can range anywhere from 10 to 50 bucks but the game itself is free to download. Check out the link and the Youtube footage below with a guy playing it using the Oculus Rift VR, its bad ***. This is as realistic as a airplane game could possibly get.

I already played DCS but not in VR would to try it out with it
I'm still not a big fan of their DLC policy as it cost really a lot for only few things except if you are passionate.

The only game I played on VR was Alien Isolation with the DK2 and it was amazing.
