For me... this event is kinda blah....

    On the good side:
    - Nice track!
    - I like the overall idea of weekly contests like this.

    On the bad side:
    - One try (with 3 free restarts if you remember to use them). ONE TRY? EVERY 30 MINUTES?
    - The ever-growing gem cost for retry and time-to-wait is literally strangling the event.

In past events we had multiple things to do; different timers, multiple tracks to run per timer, etc. In this one well.... I dont have anything to really do in this game right now, so the ONLY reason I am logging into the game is to play this event. And this event ... takes me 1 minute to do, and then its wait for 30 minutes more. So I go right back to other things in my life... work, wife, other games that are fun, etc....

I used to play Frontier as a part of my life; now Frontier is something thats interrupting my life. Its the thing in my day that I now skip if its inconvenient to me, and thats due to the way the event is designed. Thank goodness my other games let me play for extended periods of time.....hope I remember to squeeze in a few "Frontier Minutes" in between everything else.

If this were designed so that there were multiple weekly events like this going on, then maybe this would be fine. As it is though, this event moves so slow and lets me play so little.... its literally on the edge of not being worth the effort to log in.

I think it had potential, but I cannot STAND the fact that you only get 3 tries and then have to wait.

When I play this game, it usually takes me at LEAST 3 tries on any given track just to get into the groove. In this event, I get into a groove, and BOOM, I have to wait X amount of minutes before I can play again, ruining said groove.

Also, the fact that I am forced to use the KTM is personally hurtful.

Ai caramba... 4 tries only is really unnerving, the amount of gems required to get into the groove is just ridiculous. This doesn´t feel like the normal TF. Maybe this isn´t a problem for other player but i dislike it. Besides I can´t log on every 30min so at best i´m looking at 4 or 5 tries a day at most. But there´s more, the prizes are random? So......... you get into the 1% and randomly not get a track as a prize? Or not? Maybe a track prize is only possible for the top 1% and 99% of everyone else will just have to wait? Just like the current bunker season? Months on end waiting for tracks to appear in the store? This looks like lose-lose.

And btw sorry for the stupid question but is this a 4 week event with maybe 4 new tracks, or is this the new modus operandi for track releases with possibly 5, 10, 15 new track prizes that will take months to collect? The prospect permanently having to randomly miss out on tracks puts a new spin on this game.

I've stopped playing the game as much as I used to, and events like this one and bugs are just driving me away further. I doubt I'll participate too much, and offering any ideas for improvements seems like a waste of time.

If you finish the race you lose any retries you have left!

Im surprised I haven't quit this game yet haha it always helps when you have something to work towards. I still don't have the gold mantis paint and Im currently working toward Overdose in the chip shop. I only run grind house every now and then just for a chance for 13 gems and my gem stack is only like 150 cuz I spent 100 gems refreshing the daily shop looking for the freaking treasure hunter maps which I never saw (don't have any completed). Also missing metal mayhem and slick slolam. But my advice would be to slow down and just work towards stuff a little at a time while collecting gems whenever possible.

I quite like the event. I like the limited tickets/runs you can make - that way consistency is rewarded. However, what I don't like is that more runs can be bought with gems - this turns the event into a pay to win mechanism, which is obviously bad and forces people to spend gems.

I think it would work better with 1 track every 24 hours and no buy ins. I'm fine with a short timer to charge your free goes, but that should be it and you shouldn't have buy-ins. That way it's quite a fair and competitive event where everyone is trying to get that one good run. It may even give those with less skill a chance as they could get lucky and put in a killer time.

At the moment I think there are quite a few people spending gems on android (not bad as the event allows this) - however, there are some people who hack their currencies who are placing higher on the LBs than they probably should due to not having to worry about paying for gems etc. (.....road_TM guys I'm looking at you).

Anyway, I think the bare bones of this event are quite good and it's a nice change from the usual "grind-a-thon".

hmm, I dont like the event as well - there is only few minutes ride on a new track to get higher rank and just wait for 6 days = sucks
I dont like the new track either - it is just about to make hit perfectly the first small U ramp in order to hit the second U ramp to get the speed to jump up, the rest is boring

as xitoner said, also I lost the passion for this game and rather spend time doing something else...

    +1 :d

If at least every day a new track with another bike or a new challenge would come, it would be a lot more interesting than 7 days the same track and the same bike to drive.

Yep, and a fairly glitchy update too. I think this game is slowly dying away as they focus on something different, as it is ageing a little.

I'm thinking of just not bothering once I've got a fairly good time, and simply waiting a week. Doesn't seem worth it retrying as often as possible... or at all, for that matter. I wonder how GT Dave does it. :P
