IN MY OPINION
I feel THE MOST DIFFICULT MODE SHOULD YIELD THE BEST GEAR. In a way that a player ( or group ) can gear up for proceeding difficulties by doing easier ones, but not the highest GS pieces ; however , it will present a really hard challenge doing the hardest difficulty in that gear. In that way, when you do complete a run on the hardest difficulty, the rewards seem more rewarding, it's stronger gear and higher gear score.
To find this balance, that would allow players in the gear level below to accomplish ( with great challenge ) these max difficulty activities, the maxed out player in the best gear possible ( or group ) will find the max difficulty possibly easy/intermediate. Something that, possibly only, newer content would fix.
I think that's how it should be when you become a veteran with maxed out gear. Along with a good strategy of course, but the point is, once you get that gear you obviously have really good strategies in place from experience and trial/error.
I think this is how it should be scaled in some way for both solo and group play. Present the solo player that has not maxed out (or come close too) GS, but possible min/maxed for the GS level below it, a rewarding challenge for the proceeding difficulty. Then after a good amount of time playing the game, they'll start putting together sets with max GS pieces and the activity becomes increasingly easier, along with strategy/experience.
The group, if their average GS is closer to the level below max, should experience quite a challenge as well.
From Normal, Hard, Challenging,..., whatever is in store for the future difficulties, I feel this is how the rewards/difficulty should scale and advance.
In a nutshell, my basic question lies within my very first sentence. Regardless of how it's implemented (I'm sure there's way more better ideas ) which is what a went on a tantrum about... SHOULD THE MOST DIFFICULT MODE YIELD THE BEST GEAR?
P.S.
A player who prefers solo may feel like they are so good, they don't need to group ( or they just want to play solo just because ) as Massive, I believe, is trying to adhere too.
But what about a group of players who have the same confidence? I believe in comparison, talking about the same activity and difficulty mode, the group play ought to be just BARELY easier than the solo player. Especially with good teamwork and strategy, but there still NEEDS to be challenge in the way I described, at least ( in my opinion).
This is just a side-thought, not my main purpose of this thread.
Please feel free to butcher my opinion and express yours.
I completely disagree. Even though I may be an above average skill player I still feel like the whole player base should have a chance to get the best gear in the game. Everyone goes home happy at the end of the day under this system. The high skill players can still brag about soloing challenge mode or about ganging up on people in the DZ.
I agree with War, if people can't experience the gear then that just means elite players get all the good **** and the game becomes imbalanced again.
I'd rather see unique skins for the gearsets drop at the highest difficulty level. That way you have stuff to farm for that is both unique and not game breaking.
How about masks that are visible at all times? How about some battle damage/blood stains, etc?
Welcome to 11 months ago. There is a major problem with that system. Thus the need to change.Originally Posted by Timbo42k10 Go to original post
Doesn't work for this kind of game. Might if they scrap the DZ, or make a whole line of PvP specific gear and gear sets with a pvp specific stat to separate it from PvE gear, but that's not going to happen.
If you havent realized yet dunce, most people already know how this story turns out and it's not gonna be good for the game.
I agree with War and Saddam.Originally Posted by SaddamsKnuckles Go to original post

1) The more good things in menie accessible locations will lead to operating bugs and cheating.
2) It will still create a big difference in the Player Statistics. In this case, better to forget about the PvP.
3) Too slow progress will create resentment among the players who are limited in access. There will be a repeat of the situation that would mean that the problem is not solved.
4) do not yet play for achievements.
5) If it is difficult content requires optimized builds, the question why it receive anything at all?Originally Posted by hallfrom8 Go to original post
