In the E3 test play videos I found one line on the second camp's wall that says "LA MUERTE ME LIEVA UNOS CUANTOS CONTADORES DE LA VIDA". It's at the back of a building near the exit of the camp. I know only a little bit Spanish, "death brings me something of life" is all I can interpret, and translating "contadores" to "calculators" is obviously not suitable here... Can anyone please tell me what this line means?
In the E3 demo this doodle appears when Holt is deploying a drone to find El Pozelero. It's on a blue shipping container.
(I should post a screenshot of that doodle but I don't know how to insert image orz)
I also noticed that there's one image on the grey walls that pictures one man trying to stab another man, with the latter wearing a hat that looks like US flag and bearing the word "CIA" on his arm. It would be pretty interesting if there are political implications behind this.
On a side note, I like the doodle "SUENO LIBRANOS DEL MAL" painted elsewhere. It's like the gangsters are worshiping El Sueño whose name has a rather intriguing implication. If I'm not mistaken, Catholic church believes that all dead bodies resurrect on Judgment Day and reunite with souls, which seems pretty much like the body is taking a long sleep and then wake up. And La Santa Muerte as a religion is a combination of indigenous Mesoamerican beliefs and Catholic beliefs. So, as per my understanding, by naming himself "El Sueño", this leader of a drug cartel is raising himself to a similar position as La Santa Muerte.
Which then makes me wonder if the character design of El Sueño actually take inspiration from Mexican drug lord Nazario Moreno, alias El Mas Loco. El Mas Loco wrote something like his own Bible, and brainwashed his followers to believing that he was a saint. Plus he came from a Mexican village and had seen visions relating to God. Plus he has a right-hand man that serve as the face of the organization, which seems like what the Cardinal is to El Sueño. Plus he possessed a persona of ruthless and religious at the same time.
(I think Nazario Moreno is the best fit I've found so far. I could be wrong. lol)
(I guess these are pretty off-topic since it's not about the gaming aspect of the game...And it seem pretty silly to talk about story setting way before the game is released... Anyways I'm just really interested in details of story.)
