yes
no
don't care either way
I've said in another thread about my issue with online only games and how glad i am that this game can be played offline single player,i don't want to keep banging that drum i just put it here for context.
so i was thinking it would be good to see some single player gameplay but i wonder if there are any others that feel the same.
i don't mean this month or even next but sometime before the games release, when it is ready to be shown.
am i alone on this ?
Yes, of course we must see some gameplay with AI comrades. We've learned practically nothing on this particular issue aside from the fact that the excellent Sync Shot mechanic from Future Soldier (basically the only thing I actually liked from that game) is returning. Will we be able to issue basic movement commands? Will we be able to use the map in addition to a contextual system to command squad mates?
This absolutely must need to be addressed.
Absolutely. This is a game breaker for me if the AI squad isn't adept. Sure I can play co-op but what if your friends aren't online? You sure aren't going to want to play this with a bunch of randoms. I'm still hoping for the depth and complexity of squad commands like:

You don't seriously think that the orders will have this much depth do you? I'll be "staggered" if we get anything more than the most bare bones, basic commands we typically see from squad shooters these days. Perhaps the only orders neccessary for a squad of only four from that game would be, 'go here, go there, flank left/right, suppress that guy, shoot that chump', etc. Each individual member can be controlled both as a group and individually either with the simple press of a button or the command interface like in Ghost Recon 1, with the typical rules of engagement. All the rest of that fluff from Flashpoint like ordering the group into formations really isn't needed.Originally Posted by Dieinthedark Go to original post
They could add a "clear that room" command as well. Beyond this, move regroup and ROE toggle commands that can be given both individually and as a group is all that's really needed. Just bring back the old command interface and that will add another level of depth to the gameplay.Originally Posted by Dieinthedark Go to original post
