    We Are Ghosts Trailer

Hi, I've seen thousands of times that awesome trailer always assuming it was entirely made from gameplay footage. Am I right?

No! Game engine, but there is a lot of cinematography in that trailer.

There is no maybe, it's ingame footage but they used a free camera to get the angles they wanted for the trailer.

As for Crysis or other games when you use the engine tool you can do what ever you want with the camera as freeze the game to position it.

OP asked if it was gameplay footage. I don't think it is. Besides, with Ubi, you should shovel some salt down your throat as you watch their trailers...

Thank you M_Ulukai!!!!!! That's what I wanted to know (obviously with "gameplay footage" I meant "ingame footage"). Camera angles have nothing to do with it, and as you said, maybe on PC we will have free camera and customizable UI thanks to some trainers and mods, and the "camera" argument won't be valid anymore.

There Are None So Blind As Those Who do not want to See. Then there are those who just blatantly lie or twist the truth to fool a forum member.

No gamer likes CGI trailers.or In-Engine trailers. CGI trailers are nothing more than a short movie that serves little purpose than to show a lot of flare to advertise a game. They don't show gameplay, they don't show the engine, they really don't show anything. It may as well be the publisher flashing the game's title in your face and saying "You like this." That's kind of lame...even if its the Industry's Standard.

GMT, I'm not sure why you include in-engine trailers with that statement... since your complaint is that the trailers don't show the engine or gameplay, and yet an in-engine trailer does.
