How is ubisoft gonna make a bomb trailer for the division based on a story but not continue it in the actual game. All we get is some story missions and then it ends. I think massive could really make a good story with this game like giving an option to join Aaron Keener or even try to stop him from releasing a new virus on the world and avenging the fallen first wave agents.
Please give feedback if you want the story to continue!
I don't know that our thoughts are exactly the same but I've been disappointed in the lack of follow through. Like, where's Bliss? The Russian virologist? What the heck finally happened with the special multi-week (Alex) mission? Last I saw was the turncoat agent forcing the agent running the show to do something or he'd kill the girl. No final resolution I know of.
I'm hard of hearing so maybe some of these issues were dealt with but I don't think so.
Good thread.
It would be great to see more story. I would have thought they would have thrown that in with the expansions but they are churning those out a bit too fast which is a shame. The only problem is is that they game is stuck in one place and pushing out a lengthy story line won't feel right.
I'm also surprised there have been no books on the horizon.
Ok I know after you kill Bliss in the UN mission there is a side mission with Arron talking about making a new virus. Now I thought with that we would be hunting down the traitor but that was not the case. Massive if your going to do a story base game then don't cop out when we reach level 30 and have that be the end. and to be honest what was the point of the underground if that in its self wasn't going to further the story. I hope with the next expansion they continue on the story further alone.
I apologize ahead of time, this is my first forum post onto a Ubisoft website. I also apologize for my name, I cannot change it as far as I know unfortunately.Originally Posted by DJA_785 Go to original post
Yes, we definitely need more story; in my personal opinion it has a great story which plays like a tutorial for the DZ. With respect to the developers who work hard on this game, the Dark Zone is the least appealing to me; I would like to work with people and not against them. I know it's not always like that in the DZ and if you go rogue you can start to feel like The Warriors in The Warriors (come out to playay). However we (the Division Agents) need a reason to team up together to stop a common enemy. We need a reason to (forgive my wording) give a damn.
Loot is cool, Loot is great but it shouldn't be more important than the story of the game in my opinion. It gets people more focused on what they'll pick up rather than who they're with, what they're trying to accomplish and what is going to happen next.

TL;DR: DZ is fun at times. We need more stories to keep us cooperating and interested.
Hell yes! This has been my thought since the START... When do we find(and rescue) Tchernenko? When do we get a functioning cure for the Green Death? Show us more of the people that are in the ECHOs and who are open 'threads'. What happened to April Kelleher, who disappears into the Dark Zone and then nothing, or her husband who were dragged off? And what about her two friends, what happened to them? What happened in the case of Rick Valassi, the pharma company and the whistle blower? And most important of all, when do we get to stomp the Division traitors, Keener most of all? I want a HUGE "Nooo, INCONCIEVABLE!" out of that ******* bastard. Showing him that, no, he isn't as smart as he deludes himself into thinking. The number of loose threads are...VAST, to say the least, in all honesty!Originally Posted by DJA_785 Go to original post
