We played last night in a group of 4, all with 226-229 gear score, not nearly close to min-maxing the setups of our characters but the 3 phase challenging runs we did felt "easy" - i would compare them to old 1.3 hard mode missions (not even challenging mode).
The last changes to enemy armour & dmg seem to have been dialed back just a tad too much.
Honestly I don't think enemy damage needed to be scaled back. I think the issue was the number of enemies spawning in challenge mode for solo players. Since challenge mode doesn't scale to the number of players (as said by massive in the last SOTG), it means a solo player will always face overwhelming numbers of enemies that rush you hard. So when you are the only target of 6+ enemies, the damage they do is enormous because you are being focus fired. But when you play in a 4 man team, enemies attention is split between 4 players. So each player is probably being attacked by 1, 2 or 3 enemies at the most at the same time.
So dialing back the damage NPC's do only helps the solo player have a chance. But for 4 man teams, it makes things way too easy. This is why massive needs to once again scale the missions to the number of players because there is no way to balance out the missions for solo and 4 man teams if the number of enemies never change or damage isn't scaled up or down.
The only other alternative is make two versions of the same missions. One for the solo player and one for teams. As long as there is no mission scaling for challenge mode, it'll always be too easy or too hard for solo or groups.

I thought the same thing in 1.3, why is this game always online? it's stupid hard and you can't progress. Why are we being forced into the DZ? Why are we forced into using only 1 build? and 2 skills? Why do a few idiots dictate what the game is? Why do they not care that 90% left the game? somewhere else someone pointed the finger against the bonus vs elites (that does not affect veterans) and i think this is one issue that should be looked into, but overall having thing "easy" can't be a bad thing! They can always add heroic back and maybe even add mythic if they want. The easy challenge isn't such a problem, the loot maybe it is. I honestly think that gear set should be given only by bosses and caches, starting from chance to et one in normal, one guaranteed in hard and 1 to 2 in challenge. And then add the 2 guaranteed in heroic and 2 to 3 in mythic. being Heroic still for solo player while mythic only for groups of 4. That should resolve all the problems.
But when i'm saying that, i don't absolutely mean that the release should be delayed to implement this.
I'm a console player and i've being looking to the PTS stream since day 1 and i like to follow as close as possible this game cause i like what it could be, actually i like it like it is now (except i really think the loot is a bit too much, but not way too much cause MASSIVE does not have half measures). I think that, for the sake of this game, it should be release as it is in week3 just with some bug fixes (those on skill especially) and work on harder difficulty and better loot balancing for 1.5/Survival.
But that's just me who dream about a good game to play since 1.1
All the comments that I read related to the difficulty of solo content. I never read any comments that called for a nerf "across the board". If that's the only way that Massive can achieve an appropriate level for solo play (which they did advertise on the game box) then their coding is fundamentally flawed, not the request.
As for solo players being "antisocial", what the hell has that got to do with anything? People choose solo play or are obliged to play solo for a variety of reasons. If anyone's reason is that they are antisocial then that's their right. This is a game, not a dating website. Solo play is supposed to be a viable play style.
That said, I agree that the reduction has gone too far. I've soloed 3 story missions today without dying and, in addition to TTK and TTBK, I was genuinely surprised at the lower numbers (or what seemed like loer numbers) of NPCs.

Omg but not to easy , try a content now in 1.3 hard mode missions or UG on hard - is the same like chalanging tier 4 now . i and my frend to ii solo and its boring like hell , with no wory about health and skills , with 30 min game is boring
