Most definitely Ranked. Just seems like the way to play the game. You choose your operator and adapt your load out according to the bomb site you choose.

I also really enjoy the extra length and the longer overtime. Gives greater chance for a comeback. Coming back from a 0-3 is awesome.

At first my squad and I only played casual, we started playing ranked since season 2. Ranked was improved a lot during season 1(especially locking the bomb site a team has already successfully defended).

During season 2 we mixed ranked with casual, sometimes we were to concerned with our shiny ranks to play. We let that go and just play ranked non stop because the game is so much more enjoyable with this extra layer of depth. In casual I really dislike the randomness of bomb sites. The enemy team can get the best bomb site to defend twice and we get the ****ty ones. In a balanced match that's a casual loss.

Finally I think the ranking system is quite good. Win a balanced match, get x amount of points. Win a unbalanced match (in your favour) get 0.7X points. We played a full Diamond squad with our full plat squad, lost and lost 8 points (get about 25 points for a equal win). We learned and moved on to another match.

For everyone who doesn't play ranked for whatever reason, please start, game is way more fun. I also solo and that's definitely do-able. However playing with s team is simply more fun (a coordinated attack is really awesome to pull off)

    Just my 2 cents

Ranked if I have a 5-man pre-made. I simply don't play with randoms anymore in ranked.

Casual if I have less than 5 people queued to paly

However, bare in mind physical copies are linked to Uplay, and many digital sales on sites like G2A, Greenman gaming, and CD keys may have been for the Uplay service as well.

I think more players do play casual but I honestly have no idea.
Ya I was just thinking how I bought it digital on UPlay, I don't open up steam ever so are those numbers just from steam players or actual total count. Either way it is super impressive and has been growing, a couple of commercials or some better advertising and this game could take over.

Same boat as me, this patch with not being able to see players ranks in ranked has made me stop playing ranked all together, I play this game by myself, I have many options of different premade teams to play with but I've always enjoyed meeting and playing with new players. This season has allowed for players to not see who they get paired with skill wise so it messes up everything in terms of trying to get a good team together to face a premade esl team. From playing ranked everyday last season to now only playing casual and watching my casual K/D sky rocket and I get show off to all the low ranked noobs.

I would say casual is more popular than ranked.
