Which DLC operator is best to unlock first? | Forums

I have 25000 and need your help unlocking my first DLC operator. Thanks.

It would have been blackbeard before last patch, but not so much anymore. It's a tie between frost and valkyrie. Good, solid team gadget operators. Buck doesn't have a team gadget, Capitao is way too situational and usually too squishy for a beginner, caveira is even more difficult and her interrogation is very difficult to pull off reliably.

depends on your playstyle but for attackers, buck is versatile and can be a good rusher or marksman, blackbeards gadget is kinda meh at the moment and capitao plays similarly to ash.
IMO the order to get these attackers in is 1. Capitao 2.Buck 3. Blackbeard (buck and capitao are close though because they are both very versatile)

for defenders, frosts SMG got a buff and is really good now her shotgun is still ok and her traps can win rounds or slow down attackers, valkarie has a great SMG and decent shotgun and her cameras can be really good and she has C4, Caviera has a pretty bad SMG but her shotgun is good and her interrogation ability is useful but she doesnt have much else going for her.
my order to get these defenders in is: 1. Frost 2. Valkarie 3. Caviera

comparing all of their primary weapons id say that Capitao is the best with his LMG that can attach a compensator and have no recoil and the ParaFAL that is basically a better version of blackbears SCAR-H at the moment, Buck and Blackbeard are about the same both have decent assault rifles and good DMRs, Frost has a really good SMG and decent shotgun and so does Valkarie, and Cavieras SMG is the worst of any weapon on these 6 operators and even though her shotgun is better than the other defenders i still think she has the worst weapon set of the defenders

for the secondary weapons im putting both Buck and Frost on top at the number one spot because the Hi-Power is really good, Blackbeard and Valkarie are both at the bottom for obvious reasons, and Caviera is slightly better than Capitao because it can down in two shots to the chest.
order: 1.Buck/Frost 2. Caviera 3.Capitao 4.Blackbeard/Valkarie

abilities Capitao is at the top because his crossbow is really good for entry or hallway denial, Buck is next because his shotgun can be used effectively as a CQC weapon, or to breach doors and windows from afar, Valkaries cameras get the #3 spot because they are so useful, frost has spot 4 because her traps can be came winning plus its allot of fun when you set down 3 of them in the shower on house and get 3 trap kills from enemies who dont realize they are there, Caviera and Blackbeard are on the same level in my opinion because both abilities are situational though you would get more use out of Blackbeards shield

Buck and Capitao are the best overall operators to choose from, Frost and Valkarie are both great defending operators, Blackbeard is kinda meh but is still usable, Caviera is only really used in casual.

In my humble opinion I suggest getting a Defender first. The reasoning for this is the Defenders as a team will usually rely more on your gadget in their defensive strategy. Attackers tend to, but not always use their equipment for personal reasons on the fly letting the current situation dictate the use of their gadgets.

With that said, using a generic operator while on attacker will hurt your team as a whole a lot less.

Overall, I would pick Valkyrie first, no question ask. Her cameras, when used properly, are simply amazing. And unlike the other operators, she is by far the one that is the most team oriented. Her cameras can be used by anyone.

Now, if you absolutely want an attacker, I would go with Capitao. All the DLCs new attackers are great at one thing, killing. What makes Capitao special compared to the others two is his "flame" bolts, making him good for area denial(a little lime Smoke but on offense). It's useful on Bomb if your team planted the defuser, when you hear enemy trying to get near it to destroy it, simple fire a bolt on it, wait till it expire and do it again. That's usually all that's really needed to win and the best part is that you do not need a direct line of sight, it just need to be in the general area near to it. In Secure, it can be used to keep the enemy from entering the room for a few precious second and on hostage, it's can be used to cover your back while you or someone else get to the hostage.

Buck and Blackbeard are both great for killing but don't bring much other than that.

before the 4.2 patch it would be blackbeard but not anymore.buck is like sledge and his gun is difficult cause of recoil.frost is not that bad but not op(a few patches before the super 90 was a god!).valkyrie is still very good and helpful as you can gain lost of infos wihtout the enemy awareness.her guns are good and if i were you i would buy her first.the next one would be for sure capitao.he has everything!good guns(even the lmg is pretty good),nades and a crossbow which is very-very helpfull into the game.he's also very fast.
so to conclude my picks would be:
1.valkyrie
2.capitao
3.buck
4.blackbeard
5.frost
6.caveira(you can flank with many operators,her guns are not that good,only a few times you will interrogate)
