Btw, has someone got the leap achievement? I have 3m population but I don't want to upgrade to syn because of economy & good crash for nothing...
I could all upgrade them, then get the achievement, destroy them, and build houses back but come on!

And you don't have space for expansion in the Temperate region? Shame on you. (Yes. Seriously.) I don't have either Tundra OR Orbit yet (waiting until Christmas and a planned purchase of the Season Pass), and I have regions I haven't taken over yet. Foreclose on the rest of the Big Five (naturally, winning all their stock via the Trading Floor is how to do that - taking the Corner the Market achievement along the way - which I have, in fact, done), and you can take over their turf (which WILL assuredly gets you that space you need). Max the Projects first - THEN plow forward toward the Leap.

    Give an update...

Synths are pointless so far.. It has been said, synths will replace the workforce.. then please give an update to upgrade all others [Workers, operatives and executives] to investors .. As theatrically all of them got replaced by Synths...

Actually, the Synths are an old (and mothballed) project - and it's on the Greentide Archipelago - it is a DIRECT descendant of F.A.T.H.E.R. - and makes A.D.A.M. look like a piker (A.DA.M.'s words - not mine). And no - NOT all of your workforce gets replaced by Synths - however, they DO integrate into your workforce. (Right now, I have 60K Synths - however, it's still early days yet.)

Still, to get the Synths, you have to make some obvious choices - like NOT using the large apartment buildings; you won't have the space to get 100K investors on the largest island if you do. As you select each mothballed reactor, it will tell you the population ceiling you must crack to jumpstart it - and the type of population needed. As I said, the largest island needs 100K investors - which means you need lots of apartment buildings; therefore the SMALL buildings are required. While Greentide Arch hosts the project, you will likely earn the "They Live" achievement elsewhere - in my case, it was back on Walbruck Basin (though it could easily be on Wildwater Bay (your big urban development - I haven't even gotten to the midway hang point there yet) and the Bay is frigging BIG).
So no - Synths will not REPLACE the workforce - they will, however, AUGMENT the workforce (there aren't enough stored personalities to completely replace the workforce).

HeyY Yooo fella's I found the answer for ya as I just saw this weird Synth's bring no dough to my corp apart from that fancy look they have, but there is more I found on FANDOM.wiki.anno :

    Synthetics
Synthetics have only the same tier 4 needs as the investors. As a result upgrading investors to synthetics will reduce the demand for the first three tiers of goods.

Small residences cannot be upgraded to house synthetics, only complexes can.

here is how we partly solve the problem on vitamins and other food

No matter how you mix them with your population the cost of their upkeep will always make you earn less than without them. Their only purpose is getting more population if you suck at space planning, although of course you must demolish all their housing and replace with proper population after getting the desired corporation level.
