IS there any official way to see in game fps by changing some settings or through uplay as I don't wan to rely on 3rd party apps

    yep

Uplay as a built in FPS counter

    open Uplay

go to settings by clicking on the 3 lines in the upper left

    check the box that says

    Display FPS counter in game

you'll see your FPS in the upper left corner when you play your game

Exactly what WID992007 said! Here's an image if you'd like to see where the FPS counter is located.

Took awhile to re-find this thread. I've got the "Display FPS ..." checked from first load of the game, and yet have never seen the FPS counter in the upper left corner off the screen, or in any corner of the screen.

Any ideas as to why that might be? Some other setting also must be set? Far Cry Primal is currently being played in the on-line mode. TIA

So basically there's no known reason why the FPS counter should not be displaying? I assume the suggestion of un-/re-installing Uplay is a catch-all of "try this, it might work"?

no i had the same issue ONCE on my back up PC ..uninstalling and re installing the Uplay client Fixed it

so yes i can confirm thats a valid FIX ..as it worked on my Dell machine

you possibly have a corrupted install of the Uplay client , or an out of date one that did not update or install properly .

after reinstalling Uplay check the settings and make sure the in game FPS counter is enabled again

Thanks. Uplay has been installed and updated on my PC for over 3 years, so who knows what the underlining code now looks like ...

Before you uninstall Uplay, open your task manager and check the Processes tab. See if "UbisoftGameLauncher.exe" is running. If it is, end the process, then uninstall and re-download.

Interestingly enough, in Task Manager it's "Uplay.exe *32" which is running when Uplay is fired up.

I have learned via the Ubisoft support center that since FCP is installed under the game launcher folder, it will be deleted if I were uninstall Uplay. The hassle of having to go thru the exercise of not only re-installing Uplay (not major), but any recent Ubisoft games installed under the game launcher (very major) is a non-started for caring if I can view the FPS, or not.

It is beyond belief that Ubisoft recently decided to install games "inside" the client folder, and then design the deleting of said client to also delete any installed games.

Glad I contacted the support center to ask if FCP would also be deleted ...
