First of all, this was a brilliant amount of fun, love this type of game, and to these developers that are to developing one, great job guys!
Since it was in alpha it had a few bugs which was understandable (one is if you revive someone next to a wall, they might get trapped inside it), I'm also only saying this cause I want the best possible game to come out, combat had a bit of bugs, along with feats (smoke bomb was dam annoying, since it's such a quick feat, and both blinded and out of stamina? that's a bit much. also it seems it doesn't matter if you take damage while doing feats, they still happen I don't think that's too good, not being able to interrupt them).
I feel there should be more game modes than just 5, so much more possibilities (please add a mode for pros where friendly fire is actually life threatening, a free for all, 3 teams game of any kind, my best idea could be one where you are restricted to only your faction, FACTION WARS! make it a online conquest for territory (you are restricted to the side you choose to fight for, knights, vikings, samurai, and maybe more than just three teams, but that's just a dream you will either be attacking or defending a location (defenders could have an advantage, start with a fortresses each or more, you can move armies and can even confront other armies and I would suggest you create at least one map for an open field battle), that would be so awesome, you have the world map and everything). Once you conquer all the fortresses, you win, great mode to play with your 3 mates, the overall game might be a bit long, so be sure to reward the conquerors. A number of games have similar mechanic in game (battlefront 2, tribal wars etc), why not be outstanding (already are) and give us more than we could ask for (been dreaming about it every night for a while now).
From what I could see there were only a few customization Armour and weapon pieces (3 max) hopefully this number is increased significantly (have seen some armour types in livestream which look awesome, hope to see more), as I felt at a certain point that I would find that super rare item eventually, but did not.
Maybe try adding a few more feats or improving them, obviously not stupidly over the top ones like making people turn into mush, but maybe something that switches your fighting style (or weapon if better!!! like dual wield! I'm sure it's possible with the kensei or orochi like with a smaller dagger (like the Wakizashi or tanto) or make it a lunge grab attack. Also there does seem to be some system that controls how far away you look at your character when fighting someone or two, could we control that? or make it a feat? Another feat suggestion would be a last stand mode, which we kinda got a glimpse of in the first e3 cinematic trailer, where if you are not executed, you have a few seconds to recover and then go nuts (maybe only can be done if your revenge meter is full). Also I have no problem with the revenge state, since you have to learn how it works to even have a chance of successfully using it, too many people complaining about it being overpowered, are simply victims to the ones who used it well, don't get me wrong, I'm not a master with it yet (died many times, even when I learnt all I could), but It's understandable if you are new, going super saiyajin seems unfair at first, just be smart about it and learn why you died (probably spammed too much till out of stamina). I feel sometimes that it was too slow to get feats that I wanted, two solutions slightly speed it up, or increase the length of dominion matches (this is preferable option as 5 to 9 mins is a bit quick for the 3min+ wait, make sure that if you do well in the match you have a better chance of getting rarer gear (or gear we don't have) instead of sometimes getting nothing) Also maybe you could add another minion type model (the two right now might get boring to watch hacked to pieces, one for the vikings? (we have seen them in the viking campaign) it would be alright if this came after the release in a update).
Hey why not add a sabre/rapier type class for the knights? I'm sure it could be implemented, and could be welcomed as a hybrid. also another class for the samurai, using the weapon kusarigama (ball and sickle), can't think of a viking one yet. There might be a bit of a problem with counter guardbreak (I'm not one to mash the buttons till I win). I'm sure there are a number of people that would like to see a sheath for the orochi class, since they hold their sword like it is in one.
I have a few more suggestion but I feel this is enough to digest Amazing game guys, keep improving!
So just a summary of the above, since it's a little much to read, list is in no particular order
1. bug, reviving people next to walls traps them
2. smoke bomb a bit OP?
3. game modes, ones varying on difficulty
4. CONQUEST FACTION WARS PLEASE!!!! (like battlefront 2 remember?)
5. more than just 3 pieces of gear
6. add some more feats(details above)
7. Length of matches short? another minion type?
8. New heroes/classes ideas (sabre and kusarigama)
9. counter guardbreak problem?
10. add a sheath to the orochi
if by some miracle all of these are changed/improved, I will buy the collectors edition straight away
