Okay, again just throwing out there one of those ideas.
But while learning and mastering a new character is immense loads of fun. I often felt like I just want to practice a bit with a character. Duels currently are the only form in which you can get a nice practice session but the rounds are short and you don't have a lot of time to work out things like practice the chains and moves in the moveset.
I just think (again, this is just me with one of those ideas) perhaps some sort of 1v1 in private mode where there's unlimited time limit. You can simply practice with a AI bot of your choosing or player. Health is regenerative (or not) so you can swing away at your hearts content. It'll be beneficial should you want to teach another player.
Anyone else agree or disagree?
I never checked, but wasn't there an option for Duel PvP vs. AI?
I get what your saying, but I think the "stress" of playing with non-regenerative HP lets you test limits and damage combos. Another thing is, as with most games, you could theoretically just practice one thing each round. So instead of going into it thinking, I am going to block his first attack and dodge left and then swing high and block and then... you could instead just say, I am not going to attack at all. Instead, I am going to try and block every single attack of theirs. When I have revenge, then I will attack.
As far as practice goes, you're going to want to practice against real people anyway, even the AI in this game can be predictable. Not all of the time, but more than a couple of times. It was certainly easier to kill them in dominion.
It was mentioned during the second day of the Revelation stream that we will have full control of our party and the ability to play Private matches against our friends. The Alpha simply had a portion of the grouping features locked so that they could collect the data they needed from thousands of matches as oppose to people just playing privately.
Yeah, good ole fashion PvP experience is the best way. It's a rough experience but eventually gets the job done. Well one day I'll be a good Kensei...one day.Originally Posted by MNSUAngel Go to original post
