Muzzle Brake on semi-auto weapons is still amazing! Is it meant to be this good?

After the recent patch, I set out to retest the muzzle brake's performance in terms of recoil mitigation in comparison to the other attachments and I think it's still great (especially for semi-auto weapons)!

    What do you guys think?

Thank you for this . Very informative and helped me understand the recoil graphics in game

Nice video but it is not entirely correct (see the devs responds):

"With the update that just went out, the muzzle break only reduces first shot recoil, but also decreases the time it takes the weapon to recenter. This is designed for tap firing.

The compensator reduces the starting recoil intensity (after first shot), reduces the amount the weapon kicks off center of the screen (but only by a little bit), and it also reduces the maximum recoil intensity that it can reach. So it will take slightly longer to reach maximum recoil intensity because of the lower initial start, and the maximum recoil intensity is reduced. Good for bursting and full auto. First shot recoil is unaffected, so not great for tap firing.

The flash hider reduces the re-centering time (not as much as the muzzle break though), it reduces the first shot recoil (not as much as the muzzle break though) and it also reduces the maximum recoil intensity (but not as much as the compensator). So this would be good for a mix of tap firing and full auto, but it's not as good as either of the other attachments at either style of play.

If you have a gun with a really high first shot recoil, but the full auto recoil isn't that crazy, the muzzle break makes more sense to use with it. But if you have a weapon that has medium first shot recoil and medium-high max recoil, then the flash hider is the way to go. If the gun doesn't have a lot of first shot recoil, or if you just find the gun kicks way too much when using full auto (the P90 for example), then the compensator makes the most sense. Depends on how you play, and it depends on the weapon you use.

All in all, it seems the Flash Hider can be better than the Muzzle Brake regarding burst firing if the lower maximum recoil intensity during that burst weighs up to the lesser recoil of the first shot of the MB, but only for certain weapons."

Well it was made for Semi-Auto fire so no wonder why it that good on semi-auto (but really if you go brust of 4 to 10 bullets useally it better going whit the Flash hider guns like the R4-C is useally better whit the flash hider (i must said i put the muzzel break on my R4-C because really at longer range I put it semi-auto to get more for hit) But on guns like G36C there really no point on reducing your frist shot recol just put a flash hider or even compensator on it (it got so much low recol any way.
    SORRY FOR THE BAD ENGLISH
I hope they can make a recing recol for 3 round brust mode.
Right now there just again no point of 3 brust.
