I was just watching the new 10 things that's new in watchdogs 2 video.
And it became very obvious to me that the game has been downgraded compared to the initial ganeplay reveal.
I'm currently at work so I can't post pics but
The new footage has way less volumetric cloud over the bridge.
Also the global illumination has taken a huge hit. In the initial reveal you can see color bleeding and indirect illumination all over the place and on all objects. The metallic black fence by the beach when Marcus jumped off the building for example had a reddish tint on it from the red light bounce because of the red tiled brick floor. The sides of the buildings away from the sun were illuminated as well and had color bleeding.
However, In the new gameplay. The sides of the buildings are as dark as in watch dogs 1. In fact I was amazed at how it lighting looked just like watchdogs 1 after looking so different in the initial reveal.
So two things. Lighting has been guttered and volumetric light and fog has been greatly reduced. Shaders look butchered too in comparison and the draw distance has been vastly scaled back.
I'm sure there are a lot more things.
No, it's asking for them to actually show the real game. That's REALLY not asking for hell of a lot.Originally Posted by ViscountVicomte Go to original post
There's the problem. Game companies showing off products that players will never be able to get. At least not in the quality that's being shown off, and that's pretty dishonest of them to do so.Originally Posted by ViscountVicomte Go to original post
