I will try to keep it brief but detailed and on point, for refference I played on PC 1080p with all settings maxed out to extreme... check out my for honor twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/feralfeather) for further refferance.
graphic engine & design
10/10 its awesome, no further improvement needed, perfect imo
design & customsation
9/10 the art team did a great job, close to perfect, the only things I would like to see improved:
-color patterns, fine for attackers and defenders, but not for neutral. Wee need more patterns there, or the option to setup a own one, so its fits our crest, My crest is very traditional, like white&green chessboard with a yellow lion on it, very authentic... but no color pattern matched it
-crest positioning, we want our crest on conquerors shields, and maybe even some other positions instead of only one
maps
8/10 tho they look all pretty and immersive,
-there should be some maps a bit bigger then those in alpha, because meeting someone somewhere, engaging a epic 1v1 duel of destiny gives you chills... ofc its a teamgame, but small maps enforce that 3v1 scenario too often
immersion in general
8/10 generally all feels pretty medieval on point...
-but tho its fair in terms of balance, it puts me off on immerion with those mixed teams... as a knight I want to fight with my knight brothers, within knight soldiers, against a full team/army of samurai or vikings or knights... too much mixing everything. Fighting on a samurai map as defender, having knight soldiers and a team of vikings... awkward
Npc Soldier minions
4/10 well tho is might look like a battle is going on, for their numbers they are too much of a useless cannonfodder.
-tHey could be a bit stronger and more smart. Also I miss diversity... I want swords, sword+shields, spears and halberd in 3rd row and all in the back some archers even.. or maybe even some stronger officer types.
player classes
9/10 all fine just maybe
-warden needs some love, hes more a jack of one trade then a jack of all trades. On high skill lvl they are all pretty balanced, just on getting started raider seems op(but isnt) and orochi is a pain(but gets fair on hig skill lvl)
-since I do irl medieval full contact closecombat, I miss the sword+shield class. Ye theres the conqueror with his flail, but the most common class, shield+sword aint there
controls
7/10 its the first game that brings the realistic feeling of fencing to game controls, but
-mouse+keyboard too sluggish, needs rework, i tested both, gamepad is like easy mode compared to pc
-gamepad controllers need remapping options too, since the basic settings aint good
tutorials
6/10 basic and advanced tutorials fine so far, but:
-tutorials for countermechanix would help alot... like how to counter an orochi combo, or how to counter a raider grab attack e.t.c.
connectivity and reliability
1/10 very simple like mentioned 123896519 times in the forums:
-p2p need to go, we need dedicated servers
game modes
8/10 very good the three I saw in alpha tho:
-i wanna see some more xD and something more unque then dominion, capture the flag or free for all
Orders and currency
6/10 tho looking fine on first glance:
-you get not enough steel currency in normal games, and there are not enough orders, meaning you get all orders finished to fast and have none left to do since its to only way to get a usefull amount of steel
stats on weapons and armor
7/10 all stats are fine, only 3 are rubbish and bring imbalance:
-plain attack on weapons, plain defence on chestarmour... like anyone gonna choose any other option there... just meaning all buff up their class with that 30-50% extra dmg and deff, outbalancing the class how it supposed to be... then again all will do the same, so why bother... but why bother even haveing 2 other options to upgrade since everyone will only choose those
-revenge gains, stupid to manipulate that mechanix, making smart people trigger it even in a 1v1 fight... its only meant for outnumbered scenarios, tho it triggers to often in 1v1, or in two concluding 1v1 almost everytime
skill lvl matchmaking
7/10 basically fine but has one big flaw:
-its connected to account and not class... so if I main lets say a kensei and play it to renown 2, level 20 and then go start playing a berserker, im still noob with berserker and not geared at all, but I get the same hard enemies as with before mentioned kensei.
-matchmaking first finds your enemies, and then you pick a class... so you pick your lowest class maybe but matchamking picks enemies like the highest class
combat system
10/10 easy to pick up, a steep learning curve up to "hard to master" DONT MAKE ANYTHING EASIER THERE!
bugs and glitches
9/10 good shape for an alpha:
-getting stuck on ladders happens
-spawning at matchstart into instant death happens
-one teams soldiers stop spawning happens
-standing in half kneedeep in a not yet opened pit(overwatch map) happens
-executing a body that glitched away (and therefore executing the air) happens
in game communication
5/10 basics are there but:
-not enough keybound commands
-voicechat to buggy
community and streamers
3/10 no one understands why some streamers get 12967145 beta keys and others get nothing...
-contact me im a streamer too xD https://www.twitch.tv/feralfeather ANd I wanna stream ONLY for honor
transparency and game rewards
-7/10 fine for the most but:
- you get those points after match but dont understand how you got them... like when I take 6 Objectives, with 12 takedowns and 2 deaths, how can I have less points then a guy with 1 objective, 4 takedowns and 5 deaths?
distribution, promotion and accessibilty
3/10, for further refference check this forum post
I agree with the minions part heavily they could also be spaced out more and the archer minions could be put in the high area's of a map like the castle they could be positioned on the wooden bridge raining arrows on the other minions and player.

More different minion with realistic battlefield positioning and stuff to da. It would be so immersive to have different equipped soldiers, mixed swords and sword +shield in the frontrows, somewhere in secon or thisrd row spears or halberds or polearms. Then further in the back archers. i like your idea with them being more spaced out and also to be on other key positions. would be really immersive when you head ub to the tower on citadel when you cut your path through some archers standing on the high positions and stuff.
but also i really wanna stress out that in general the npc soldiers must be a bit stronger. I mean I get the idea is having them there for a more immersive battlefield feeling, but they are to much easy cannonfodder. Killing the first 20 in the whole game might still be a bit funny, but after that it gets non rewarding and numb. If they were stronger it would have two effects.
1. they would influence tactical decisions and strategic gameplay
2. it would feel rewarding clearing them for a tactical advance
so let them fight a bit better with some better AI and let them actually deal reasonable damage if you overdo it.
the other thing you said, ofc I know the vikings gonna have their warlords sword shield combo, but again, in the reenactors scene im coming from, especially the full contact medieval combat section, you got various people with various weapo0nry. Vikings, Pikts, Celts, Knights etc... but when you fight alot with many people and in tournaments, really the most common combination is a knight between year 1050 and 1290 with sword and shield. So I just missed that on the knights side. No big deal tho.
Orders and currency:
These where hard to find, didint realize they existed untill day 3 after seeing someone look at them in a stream. then it took me a while to find the place to acces them.
I personaly didint find it that hard to earn steel even thou it is a really small amount per match. But you get them by doing orders and with time.
Ofc people who dont have time to play that much will find it annoying but if they implement moneyshop to buy steel i really dont see this as a problem.
Threres really no way to please everyone on this issue but i think it was fine even after wasting all my steel in the beginning to buy weapon/armor packs.
well i just think its a bit too low... i mean they could just double up the steel imo, cuz orders aside, if you grind stuff....
a 500 steel outfit is 50 sominion matches
and the two executions is one like 100 matches and the other like 150 matches.. a bit of a grind since its only for one class
i mean yeah orders help alot, but I did ALL orders during alpha, and unlocked a execution and an outfit, buying the 3 extra classes and wasting a bit on gear packs
but i played far more then 10 hours per day so...
dunno maybe more orders would fix it, or a bit more steel after match,,, not too much ofc but you need it for upgrades and forges and so much stuff... just a slight tuneup would feel less RNG
